GUJCET Eligibility Criteria 2026 - GSEB will release the eligibility for GUJCET 2026 at the official website at gujcet.gseb.org. GUJCET 2026 eligibility criteria comprises details on age criteria, education qualification, domicile, and more. Only the eligible candidates will be able to fill GUJCET Online forms. Students who have passed/ are appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology are eligible to apply for the Gujarat CET. GUJCET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Students must meet all the conditions laid down by the authorities. Even if the candidate is in the last stage of the GUJCET admissions process 2026, they will not be allowed to enrol if they fail to fulfil the GUJCET exam eligibility 2026 conditions. Along with the exam pattern, the authorities will release the GUJCET passing marks details. The passing mark is 54 for general category students; however, GUJCET passing marks for the ST category are 48. So, to avoid that, follow the below-mentioned GUJCET 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the GUJCET exam.

Nationality

The candidate must be an Indian citizen

The candidate must be a Gujarat resident by birth

The candidate must have passed 10+2 in a school situated in Gujarat

Parents of the candidate must belong to Gujarat and must be living there at the time of admission

Qualification

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. And any of the Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer/ Vocational Subjects.
Candidates appearing in the 10+2 examination are also eligible for the exam

Minimum Marks

The candidate must have scored at least 45% marks in 10+2 or equivalent.
The minimum mark for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS is 40%

When to Apply for GUJCET 2026?

After getting the details of GUJCET eligibility 2026, candidates can apply for the exam in the month of December. Last year, the forms were issued on December 16. Similar pattern will be followed for the upcoming sessions. Candidates must keep the required documents ready, as per the GUJCET 2026 eligibility, to fill the forms on time. Candidates failing to meet the eligibility criteria of GUJCET 2026 will not be considered for admission and the Gujarat CET registration fee is also non-refundable. For filling out the application form of GUJCET 2026, students will be required to fill in the details like name, contact details, etc. After successfully registering themselves, candidates have to fill in the GUJCET 2026 application form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee to get the process done.

Yes, if you are a domicile of Gujarat, your CBSE board marks are considered along with GUJCET for admission into engineering colleges in the state. The merit list is usually prepared by giving 60% weightage to your Class 12 marks and 40% weightage to your GUJCET score. It does not matter whether you studied under CBSE or Gujarat Board, as long as you have cleared Class 12 with the required subjects, your marks will be valid for the admission process.

The GUJCET Merit List is prepared based on the Class 12th marks and GUJCET marks received by the students. CBSE students who are not from the Gujarat board can definitely compete with GSEB students, as their eligibility is decided based on the combined marks scored by them in GUJCET and the 12th board.
