GUJCET Eligibility Criteria 2018: All candidates will be required to satisfy the conditions under GUJCET 2018 eligibility criteria for admissions. The various eligibility criteria of GUJCET 2018 will consist of the required domicile, nationality, academic qualifications and more. It is essential for all candidates to check the required GUJCET eligibility criteria 2018 before registering themselves for the entrance examination and admission process. Only those candidates who manage to meet the GUJCET 2018 eligibility criteria will be provided the admit card for the entrance exam. The participating institutes of GUJCET 2018 also offer a number of seats for certain categories. The reservation criteria of GUJCET 2018 consists of the specifications that the candidates need to possess for admission under the reserved seat. The corresponding eligibility and reservation documents have to be kept ready by the candidates during the verification of documents. GUJCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

 

All interested engineering aspirants will have to check the GUJCET 2018 eligibility criteria in detail. Various criteria related to the nationality, education and more will have to be met by the applicants. In case some applicants fail to meet even one criteria then he/she will be disqualified from the admission process. Before filling the application form, the applicants are requested to read the GUJCET eligibility criteria 2018. If any applicant is found ineligible, then his/her application form will be rejected by the admission committee.

Nationality

Candidates should be of Indian nationality.

Academic Requirements

  • 10+2 (or equivalent) examination should have been completed by the candidates from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/ CBSE, Delhi/ CISCE, New Delhi/ NIOS/ International School Board.

  • If the candidates have not completed their 10+2 examination but will complete it in 2018, then these candidates will also be eligible for admission.

Qualifying Marks

  • General Category: The candidates will have to secure 45% marks in the 10+2 qualifying examination.

  • Reserved Category: In 10+2 (or equivalent) examination, the reserved category candidates will have to score 40% marks.

Domicile

  • The candidates should be bonafide residents of Gujarat.

  • If the candidates are living in some other state but are bonafide residents of Gujarat, then he/she will be eligible for admission.

  • The candidates will be eligible for admission if his/her parents are of Gujarat origin and are serving out of the state in the service of Central Government or other State Government, Armed Forces, Boards or Cooperations owned or controlled by the Central or State or any nationalised bank.

  • Failure to satisfy the GUJCET eligibility criteria 2018 will make the candidates ineligible to sit for the entrance examination. 

  • All of the documents to prove the eligibility should be kept ready by the candidates during the verification of documents.

GUJCET Reservation Criteria 2018

 

GUJCET 2018 offers a certain number of reserved seats to various categories. The seats are reserved for those categories which are considered minority according to the Gujarat Government. It has to be noted that the candidates will have to produce documents to support their eligibility for reservation. Only those who manage to meet the reservation criteria of GUJCET 2018 will be allotted seats under the reserved seats.

Highlights of GUJCET 2018 Reservation Criteria

  • The candidates will have to produce their caste certificates to prove their category.

  • The certificates should be signed and stamped by the concerned authorities.

  • If the documents are found to be invalid during the verification process then the candidates will not be allowed admission under reservation.

  • If a reserved category applicant gets admission in an unreserved seat in order of merit list, then he/she may be allotted seats in the unreserved seat as per his/her preference.

  • The vacant seats left after the completion of the admission of the reserved category will be converted to the unreserved category.
