GUJCET Eligibility Criteria 2019 - Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will be releasing the details about the eligibility criteria of GUJCET 2019 for all candidates. GUJCET 2019 eligibility criteria will consist of those conditions and requirements that the candidates will have to satisfy for admissions into the participating institutes. Nationality, domicile, academic and mark requirements has to be checked and fulfilled according to GUJCET eligibility criteria 2019. Before registration, all candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of GUJCET 2019. GUJCET also offers reservation of seats for various categories if they meet the required criteria. GUJCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the various eligibility criteria that they will have to meet to be eligible for admissions from the table given below.

Should be of Indian nationality



  • The candidates are required to be bonafide residents of Gujarat. 

  • Candidates who are bonafide residents of Gujarat but are living in some other state will also be termed eligible.

  • Parents should be of Gujarat origin and serving out of the state in the service of Central Government or other State Government, Armed Forces, Boards or Corporations owned or controlled by the Central or State or any nationalised bank. 


Academic Qualifications

  • Candidates should have completed 10+2(or equivalent) examination from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/CBSE, Delhi/CISCE, New Delhi/NIOS/International School Board.

  • The candidates who will be completing their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2019 will also be able to apply for admission through GUJCET 2019.


Marks Required

Candidates belonging to General Category will be required to secure 45% in 10+2th standard examination. For SC/ST category candidates, the marks required is 40%. 

GUJCET 2019 Reservation Criteria

Candidates who belong to special categories will also be able to apply for the reserved seats. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of these category will be allotted the reserved seats of GUJCET 2019. The correct and valid documents will have to submitted by the candidates to prove their eligibility for reservation.

While reporting for counselling, those candidates who are allotted through reservation will have to produce their category certificate. In case, a reserved category candidate is allotted in an unreserved seat as per their rank, then he/she will be able to get admission through the unreserved seat only. All of the vacant reserved seats will be converted to unreserved category.
