Here is the analysis of May 10 Shift 1
1. Physics : Physics was easy to moderate in difficulty. Questions were mostly conceptual and were based on basic topics. Chapters such as Mechanics contributed about 25% of the section, followed by Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, and Optics. Most questions tested the application of the basic principles and hence made the section easy for well-prepared candidates.
2. Chemistry: Chemistry proved to be the most convenient section for the majority of students. The questions were simple and primarily memory and concept-based. Organic Chemistry was prominent, contributing around 15% to the section, with other emphasis on areas like Chemical Bonding and Thermodynamics. This section provided candidates with an opportunity to save time and increase their scores.
3. Mathematics: Mathematics was relatively the toughest. The questions were long, calculation-intensive, and needed in-depth knowledge. Subject areas like Calculus, comprising Integration and Differentiation, and Vector Algebra and 3D Geometry were the major fillers of this section. Good problem-solving ability and time management were essential to score well here.
In the past years, the COMEDK UGET exam has followed a relatively uniform pattern with regard to subject-wise difficulty and topic distribution. As we do not have COMEDK 2025 analysis available right now, you can go through previous year COMEDK exam analysis:
Physics: It has been typically of moderate difficulty with a mixture of conceptual and numerical questions. Important topics that are often included in the paper are Laws of Motion, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, Kinematics, and Modern Physics. The questions are added to test understanding by way of real-life applications rather than just memorization.
Chemistry: Chemistry is generally the most straightforward of the three subjects, while most questions asked are direct and formula-based. Crucial topics such as Chemical Bonding, Basic Organic Chemistry mechanisms, Thermodynamics, and Coordination Compounds are featured frequently. Inorganic Chemistry questions tend to be theory-based and direct.
Mathematics: It is usually the most difficult section because of its difficulty and lengthy problems. The key chapters in it are Calculus, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, and Vectors & 3D Geometry. This section requires sound concept clarity and time management as most questions in it involve a lot of calculations.
