    MHT CET 2026 Round 1 Allotment: The Maharashtra State Cell has completed the MHT CET 2026 seat allotment for round 1 through the official website. According to the admission statistics, there are 43,910 engineering seats are still vacant. Those who have satisfied with their round 1 seat allotment can now proceed with the further admission process by August 5, 2026. As per the official MHT CET 2026 Round 1 seat allotment data, 240497 students were included in the merit list, out of which 219417 submitted their choice filling or web option.

    What Happens After MHT CET CAP 2026 Round 1?

    After Round 1 seat allotment, candidates who have been allotted a seat must complete the seat acceptance process by August 3 to 5, 2026. Those who are not satisfied with their first round allotment will participate in the MHT CET CAP Round 2 counselling round according to the CET Cell instructions. The authority will announce the Provisional vacant seats for CAP Round 2 on August 6, 2026. The MHT CET CAP for Round 2 choice filling date is August 7 to 9, 2026. After reviewing the choice locking by the candidate, the seat allotment will be released on August 12, 2026. Candidates are advised to review the Round 2 vacant seat before filling their choices for Round 2.

    MHT CET CAP 2026 Round 2 Registration

    The Maharashtra State CET Cell does not conduct fresh registration for CAP Round 2. Only candidates who have already registered for the counselling process and are not satisfied with their Round 1 seat allotment can participate by editing, rearranging, and locking their web options. The Round 2 choice filling and locking process will commence on August 7, 2026. The Round 2 seat allotment will be based on the revised choices, merit, and seat availability.

    MHT-CET is a computer based test conducted only at allotted exam centers, not from home or personal PCs, Students from outside Maharashtra can appear for the exam at selected centres during application. Non-Maharashtra candidates usually can't claim state quota seats through CAP and often use JEE Main scores instead.
