ISI result 2019

ISI Result 2019 - Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata has published the result of ISI 2019 on May 29 in online mode. The ISI result 2019 is in the form of list of candidates who have been shortlisted for the interview. Students can find below the list and check their interview schedule. The final answer key of ISI admission test was released on May 14. The registration number of the shortlisted candidates is present in the ISI result and interview schedule of all eligible candidates have also been mentioned. It has to be noted that a separate merit list of ISI Admission Test will be released for GATE candidates. Those candidates who are shortlisted in the result of ISI 2019 will have to report for the offline counselling. ISI result 2019 for M,Tech CS and M.Tech QROR candidates will be released separately. Steps to access ISI 2019 Result

The candidates will be able to check the result of ISI 2019 by following the steps given below.

  • The authorities will be releasing the ISI result 2019 in online mode.

  • The result will be released in the form of merit list.

  • The candidates will have to check their registration number to know if they have been shortlisted for the counselling or not.

ISI Cutoff 2019

Along with the admission, the cutoff of ISI 2019 will also be published by the authorities. The cutoff will consist of the minimum marks that the candidates will have to secure to have higher chances of admission into the institute. This also acts as a screening process for admissions into the institute. The cutoff will be different for each course and category. Many factors are taken into consideration while preparing the cutoff of ISI 2019 such as level of exam difficulty, previous year cutoff trends, number of seats available and more.


ISI Counselling 2019

The counselling of ISI 2019 has been conducted in offline mode by the authorities for the shortlisted candidates. Since the counselling is done in offline mode, the candidates need to be present physically in the venue. Allotment of candidates is done based on their merit, preference of course and availability of seat. During the counselling, verification of documents will be done.

Hello,

There's no limit to the number of attempts a candidate can have for the ISI entrance exam. The application procedure will approximately be from February to March, 2020 and the exam is on 10th May, 2020. With good preparation you'll be Able to ecrack it in one go, All the best !

ISI Admission Test B.Stat Exam Pattern

Candidates must refer to the exam pattern of ISI admission test  for B.Stat to get an idea about the types of questions, exam duration, sections, etc. Given below is the table having details about the exam pattern of ISI admission test


Exam Duration: The exam is conducted in two halves: a forenoon session and afternoon session. Each exam will be of two hours.

Types of question: The paper 1 which will be conducted in the forenoon session will have objective type questions while the paper of the afternoon session will have descriptive type questions.

Multiple choice questions: There will be 30 multiple choice questions in the forenoon paper. Each question will have four options with one correct answer. Marks will be deducted for every incorrect attempt

Descriptive type questions: In this paper, the candidates will have to write the descriptive answers to the questions.

Subjects: Both the papers will be of Maths.

Am i eligible for M.Tech QROR in ISI Kolkata without having Science in HS level? I am a Lateral Entry B.Tech student after Diploma Engg.

Hello Arpan,

As you have asked for the eligiblity criteria in ISI Kolkata for M.Tech, then for getting selected in M.Tech (QROR) their are following eligibility criteria which i am listing below.

1. Master’s Degree in Statistics with Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level; or

2. Master’s Degree in Mathematics with Statistics as a subject at undergraduate or post-graduate            level, and Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level; or  

3. BE/B Tech degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE).

As according to the above qualification that you have mentioned above i can say that you are eligible for the following course.

Hey Arms,

ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) conducts an exam or an admission test every year. This exam will give you an opportunity to get admission in the Postgraduate, diploma and doctorate programs offered at Indian Statistical Institute.

  • Step 1: You have to apply online for registration to appear for the entrance exam. For PG courses you have to apply on the admission portal
  • Step 2: after registration, the institute will provide you an admit card. You can download the admit card from their website
  • Step 3: You have to appear for the exam
  • Step 4: Check the result after it gets published. ISI Kolkata results can be seen in their notice board
  • Step 5: According to their marks and eligibility criteria, the candidates should prepare for their interview.
  • Step 6: After interview, if the candidate is selected then He/She should complete the verification and other Formalities
  • Step 7: Institute will commence their classes.

The syllabus of Examination are

  • Geometry: Plane geometry. The geometry of 2 dimensions with Cartesian and polar coordinates. Equation of a line, the angle between two lines, distance from a point to a line. Concept of a Locus. Area of a triangle. Equations of circle, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola and equations of their tangents and normals. Mensuration.
  • Algebra: Sets, operations on sets. Prime numbers, factorization of integers and divisibility. Rational and irrational numbers. Permutations and combinations, basic probability. Binomial Theorem. Logarithms. Polynomials: Remainder Theorem, Theory of quadratic equations and expressions, relations between roots and coefficients. Arithmetic and geometric progressions. Inequalities involving arithmetic, geometric & harmonic means. 
  • Trigonometry: Measures of angles. Trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions. Trigonometric identities including addition formulae, solutions of trigonometric equations.
  • Calculus: Sequences - bounded sequences, monotone sequences, the limit of a sequence. Functions, one-one functions, onto functions. Limits and continuity. Derivatives and methods of differentiation. The slope of a curve. Tangents and normals. Maxima and minima. Using calculus to sketch graphs of functions.

About the exam


The exam consists of two parts:

Part 1: 30 questions 120 marks and duration is 2 hrs MCQ 

Part 2: Discipline wise section which consisting of MCQ or descriptive questions.
