ISI Application Form 2019 - The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata has closed the application form of ISI 2019 on March 15. Candidates were allowed to pay requisite application fee till March 19. The ISI Admission Test 2019 was conducted on May 5 in offline mode for the admission to various M.Tech programmes offered by the Institute. . Admit card for ISI Admission Test 2019 was available from April 18. Candidates must note that, ISI application form 2019, submitted without application fee is considered as incomplete gets rejected. The application process include the steps like providing personal, academic, qualifying exam and contact details, payment of fee, uploading of photograph etc. However, before proceeding towards filling application form of ISI 2019, candidates must refer and meet eligibility criteria. Steps To Fill ISI 2019 Application Form

Step 1 Get Registered: Click on the above-given ISI application form 2019 link and register by submitting following details:

  • Candidate’ name

  • Date of Birth

  • Mobile number and email-ID

  • Group, applying for

  • Programme, applying for (CS, CrS, QROR)

  • Validation code

Once the above details are submitted, user ID will be created. Create a password which should have minimum of 8 characters with combination of alphabets and numbers. Log-in using newly generated user-id and password to apply for ISI Admission Test 2019.

Step 2 Filling of Application Form of ISI 2019: Once re-log-in, enter the following details:

  • Personal details

  • Date of birth

  • Gender

  • Category

  • Communication Address

  • Programme applying for

  • Details of parents

  • Employment & experience details (if any)

  • Exam centres with code (select minimum of 3 centres)

  • Person with Disability (PwD)

  • Past record of studying at ISI

Step 3 Upload Scanned Photograph & Signature- As per the prescribed dimensions and format, upload the scanned images of photograph and signature.

Step 4 Academic Details: Enter the details related to secondary or equivalent, higher secondary, bachelor's degree or master's degree details. Also, provide valid GATE scores, if exists.

Step 5 Confirm the Details: Once the above details are entered, agree the declaration and submit the application form.

Step 6 Payment of Application Fees: Pay the application fees either in online or offline mode. In order to pay application fee, candidates will need their application number and date of birth.

Mode of Payment:

  • In online mode: Either through net banking, debit or credit card. Once the payment is done successfully, note the transaction ID for future reference.

  • In offline mode: Through challan from the nearest SBI branch. Candidates need to make sure that challan is duly stamped with the journal number and code of the branch. Keep the copy of challan safely for future reference.

What After ISI Application Form 2019?

The authorities released ISI 2019 admit card for all the registered candidates on April 18 in online mode. In order to download the admit card, candidates need to log-in using their application number. ISI admit card 2019 is an important document. Candidates failing to carry it to the examination centre will not be allowed to appear for the entrance test. The exam was conducted on May 5 and the result was declared on May 29.

ISI Admission Test B.Stat Exam Pattern

Candidates must refer to the exam pattern of ISI admission test  for B.Stat to get an idea about the types of questions, exam duration, sections, etc. Given below is the table having details about the exam pattern of ISI admission test

Exam Duration: The exam is conducted in two halves: a forenoon session and afternoon session. Each exam will be of two hours.

Types of question: The paper 1 which will be conducted in the forenoon session will have objective type questions while the paper of the afternoon session will have descriptive type questions.

Multiple choice questions: There will be 30 multiple choice questions in the forenoon paper. Each question will have four options with one correct answer. Marks will be deducted for every incorrect attempt

Descriptive type questions: In this paper, the candidates will have to write the descriptive answers to the questions.

Subjects: Both the papers will be of Maths.

Am i eligible for M.Tech QROR in ISI Kolkata without having Science in HS level? I am a Lateral Entry B.Tech student after Diploma Engg.

As you have asked for the eligiblity criteria in ISI Kolkata for M.Tech, then for getting selected in M.Tech (QROR) their are following eligibility criteria which i am listing below.

1. Master’s Degree in Statistics with Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level; or

2. Master’s Degree in Mathematics with Statistics as a subject at undergraduate or post-graduate            level, and Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level; or  

3. BE/B Tech degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE).

As according to the above qualification that you have mentioned above i can say that you are eligible for the following course.

Hey Arms,

ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) conducts an exam or an admission test every year. This exam will give you an opportunity to get admission in the Postgraduate, diploma and doctorate programs offered at Indian Statistical Institute.

  • Step 1: You have to apply online for registration to appear for the entrance exam. For PG courses you have to apply on the admission portal
  • Step 2: after registration, the institute will provide you an admit card. You can download the admit card from their website
  • Step 3: You have to appear for the exam
  • Step 4: Check the result after it gets published. ISI Kolkata results can be seen in their notice board
  • Step 5: According to their marks and eligibility criteria, the candidates should prepare for their interview.
  • Step 6: After interview, if the candidate is selected then He/She should complete the verification and other Formalities
  • Step 7: Institute will commence their classes.

The syllabus of Examination are

  • Geometry: Plane geometry. The geometry of 2 dimensions with Cartesian and polar coordinates. Equation of a line, the angle between two lines, distance from a point to a line. Concept of a Locus. Area of a triangle. Equations of circle, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola and equations of their tangents and normals. Mensuration.
  • Algebra: Sets, operations on sets. Prime numbers, factorization of integers and divisibility. Rational and irrational numbers. Permutations and combinations, basic probability. Binomial Theorem. Logarithms. Polynomials: Remainder Theorem, Theory of quadratic equations and expressions, relations between roots and coefficients. Arithmetic and geometric progressions. Inequalities involving arithmetic, geometric & harmonic means. 
  • Trigonometry: Measures of angles. Trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions. Trigonometric identities including addition formulae, solutions of trigonometric equations.
  • Calculus: Sequences - bounded sequences, monotone sequences, the limit of a sequence. Functions, one-one functions, onto functions. Limits and continuity. Derivatives and methods of differentiation. The slope of a curve. Tangents and normals. Maxima and minima. Using calculus to sketch graphs of functions.

About the exam

The exam consists of two parts:

Part 1: 30 questions 120 marks and duration is 2 hrs MCQ 

Part 2: Discipline wise section which consisting of MCQ or descriptive questions.
