Careers360: Introduce yourself and tell us why NIET Greater Noida was your choice for higher education.

Akshay: Hello, I am Akshay Sharma. I am currently working as a Strategic Growth Manager (Center Head) at Career Point, where I lead center operations, business growth, admissions, and strategic partnerships. Before this, I worked with Drishti IAS and Career Pro Venture in leadership roles across business development and marketing.

I chose NIET Greater Noida because of its strong academic environment, industry-oriented curriculum, experienced faculty, and excellent placement opportunities. I wanted an institute that could help me develop not only technical knowledge but also the professional skills required for a successful career.

Akshay: Campus life at NIET was vibrant and full of learning opportunities. Along with academics, there were technical events, cultural activities, and opportunities to collaborate with students from different backgrounds. The experience that had the greatest impact on me was working on group projects and participating in technical activities, which strengthened my leadership, collaboration, and decision-making skills.

Akshay: The faculty members were always approachable and supportive. They encouraged students to ask questions, guided us during academic projects, and motivated us to improve continuously. Their mentorship helped build confidence and prepared us for both higher education and professional careers.

Akshay: Projects and internships played a crucial role in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications. During my engineering studies, they helped me understand practical problem-solving and teamwork. These experiences later enabled me to transition successfully into leadership roles in business development, marketing, and strategic growth.

Careers360: Do you have experience with mentoring, and would you be open to guiding NIET students ahead?

Akshay: Absolutely. Throughout my professional journey, I have managed and mentored large teams, conducted training sessions, and guided young professionals in achieving their performance goals. I would be happy to mentor NIET students by sharing practical insights on career planning, leadership, communication, business development, and preparing for corporate life.
