Questions related to GUJCET

On Question asked by student community

Have a question related to GUJCET ?

Yes, if you are a domicile of Gujarat, your CBSE board marks are considered along with GUJCET for admission into engineering colleges in the state. The merit list is usually prepared by giving 60% weightage to your Class 12 marks and 40% weightage to your GUJCET score. It does not matter whether you studied under CBSE or Gujarat Board, as long as you have cleared Class 12 with the required subjects, your marks will be valid for the admission process.

HELLO,

The GUJCET merit list is calculated by considering 60% of the marks obtained in Class 12 and 40% of the GUJCET score. CBSE students are also eligible to compete with GSEB students, as the merit list is prepared by combining the Class 12 scores with the GUJCET performance.

Merit Calculation:
  • The merit list is calculated by combining the scores from both class and the GUJCET exam
  • This means that both your performance in the class 12 board exams and the GUJCET exam are considered when determining your rank

CBSE Students and GUJCET:

  • CBSE students can appear for the GUJCET exam, even though they are not from the Gujrat Board
  • For CBSE students, the 60% weightage for class 12 marks will be based on their performance in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their class 12 board exams
  • The remaining 40% weightage will be given to their GUJCET score.

Hope this Helps!

Hello aspirant,
Yes, a CBSE student from Gujarat is eligible to apply for GUJCET—provided your school (for both 10th and 12th) is located within Gujarat state. The key requirement is that your education must be through a recognized board, and your study centre must be in Gujarat. CBSE, ICSE, NIOS students studying in Gujarat are accepted equally alongside Gujarat Board students.

Yes it is possible to get admission in BTech in Gujarat even if you have not appeared for GUJCET or JEE and have not registered with ACPC but only through management quota or institute level admission Many private engineering colleges in Gujarat reserve some percentage of seats under management quota which are filled directly by the college based on class twelve marks usually in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics You need to visit the official website of the college or contact the admission office to know the eligibility fees and documents required It is important to note that government colleges and seats under the ACPC counseling process will not be available to you without GUJCET or JEE and ACPC registration Hence your chances are only in self financed private colleges through management quota
