Below 260 | Below average – Limited admission chances |
The BITSAT Session 2 paper analysis pattern usually mirrors BITSAT Session 1 in terms of section difficulty. Based on what happened in April, here is what to keep in mind for May:
Mathematics will be tough and lengthy. Do not spend too much time on any one question.
Chemistry in the afternoon shifts tends to be harder than in the morning. Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry carry heavy weightage.
Physics is manageable if you focus on formula-based questions first and come back to conceptual ones later.
English and Logical Reasoning is your easiest scoring section. Aim to finish it in under 20 minutes.
Do not skip the bonus section if you have time left. Each correct bonus question adds 3 marks.
Negative marking is -1 per wrong answer. Avoid blind guessing in Mathematics and Physics. English and Reasoning are safer to attempt fully.
The detailed scorecard for Session 2 is expected between June 27 and June 30, 2026 on admissions.BITS-pilani.ac.in. Candidates need their application number and password to log in and access it. Session 1 scorecard was released on April 29, 2026, so Session 2 follows a similar timeline. For candidates who appeared in both sessions, the best score from either session is considered for admission.
BITS Pilani does not officially BITSAT Marks vs Rank vs Branch. The estimates below are based on past year cutoff trends and expert analysis, with the exam scored out of 390 marks. The 330–370 range is the most competitive band —even a 5-mark difference here can shift your rank by hundreds. Actual ranks and BITSAT Cutoff may vary depending on Session 2 difficulty and the number of candidates. Accordingly you can go for BITSAT Counselling and Seat Allotment.
Score Range (Out of 390) | Expected Rank |
380 – 390 | 1 – 300 |
351 – 379 | 301 – 2,300 |
320 – 350 | 2,300 – 5,000 |
300 – 319 | 5,000 – 8,800 |
270 – 299 | 8,800 – 14,000 |
250 – 269 | 14,000 – 22,400 |
200 – 249 | 22,400 – 32,600 |
Below 200 | 32,600+ |
The BITSAT College Predictor helps candidates estimate which branch and campus they can target based on their score. Since BITS Pilani does not release official rank data, the predictor works on past year cutoff trends across all three campuses Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad.
