AAT Exam Eligibility 2026 : IIT Roorkee has released the JEE Advanced AAT eligibility criteria along with the brochure, jeeadv.ac.in. Aspirants are advised to go through the JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test exam eligibility 2026 details before filling the forms. AAT 2026 exam will be conducted after the JEE Advanced exam. Only candidates qualified in the JEE Advanced exam 2026 will be allowed to apply for the AAT exam. Students who will clear the AAT exam will be able to get admission into IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIT (BHU) Varanasi to pursue BArch courses. AAT Exam Eligibility 2026

The authority has announced the eligibility criteria for the AAT exam 2026 on the official website. Candidates can check the AAT Exam 2026 eligibility criteria in the table below.

  • First, the applicant must be an Indian Citizen

  • Candidates must have qualified the JEE Advanced examination.

  • Must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • General candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2001.

  • SC, ST candidates will have 5 years of age relaxation and must be born on or after October 1, 1996.

The authority will commence the AAT Exam 2026 registration on June 2, 2026. JEE Advanced exam-qualified candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below to complete the application process.

How to fill the JEE Advanced AAT Form 2026

  • First, visit the JEE Advanced 2026 official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

  • Click on the JEE Advanced AAT registration link.

  • Candidates need to enter their JEE Advanced 2026 registration number, date of birth, mobile number, and email address.

  • Click on the question that pops up, “Are you interested in AAT 2026?”.

  • Candidates must select the preferred JEE Advanced Exam Centres from the list that appears on the screen.

  • All the details must be entered correctly.

  • Candidates must verify the information and then submit the AAT 2026 application form.

What is AAT?

The AAT is an Architecture Aptitude Test conducted by one of the 7 prestigious IITs to allow candidates to pursue BArch courses offered by IIT BHU, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Roorkee. Candidates who are qualified for the JEE Advanced exam are only eligible for the AAT Exam. The authority conducts exams in offline mode.

Participating IITs in AAT 2026 Exam

Candidates who clear the Architecture Aptitude Test are eligible for B.Arch admissions in the following IIT institutes, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur and IIT (BHU) Varanasi. Each IIT institute from these has its own seat allotment process which is done through JoSAA counselling. Only candidates who qualify in AAT 2026 exam are eligible for admission.
