hi,
With a TS EAMCET 2024 rank around 54,000, you actually have a good shot at getting into reputable colleges for biotechnology. While top-tier institutions like IITs and the highest-ranking NITs might be out of reach, many NITs, IIITs, and well-known private engineering colleges offer B.Tech in Biotechnology or similar branches and accept students in this rank range.
For example, colleges such as NIT Durgapur, NIT Raipur, and sometimes BIT Mesra have had closing ranks around or even slightly above your rank in previous counseling sessions. If you belong to a reserved category like OBC, SC, ST, or EWS, your chances get even better, and home-state quotas can also help.
You should also look into other state engineering colleges and private universities that run strong biotechnology programmes and are more flexible with ranks in the 50k–70k range.
Private colleges CSE: With a rank of 60,000 in AP EAMCET, you may be able to join the private colleges. Some possible options include:
- Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College
- Gudlavalleru Engineering College
- Other private colleges with relatively higher cutoffs
For further details, check AP EAMCET counseling process and cutoff ranks.
Your AP EAMCET ranking of 6237 in OBC category is good and you are likely to secure admission in some of the best colleges. The possible alternatives are the following:
Andhra University College of Engineering, JNTUK Kakinada, GVP College of Engineering are some of the colleges that you may be eligible to. These colleges have in the past had cutoff ranks in your range in different branches.
You can also consider such branches as Computer Science, Electronics and Communication or Electrical Engineering, as they may have more generous cutoffs.
To have a better estimate you can visit the official AP EAMCET web site and look at the current cut off ranks and colleges. Also, you might find it necessary to call the colleges directly and ask more targeted questions.
With a rank of 22727 rank you won't get a seat in top government colleges like JNTUK, AU or VIT-AP, but you will get into top private colleges in AP in various streams of your choice.you might get into colleges like:
• RVR & JC College, Guntur
• GVPCE, Vishakapatnam
For accurate prediction use college predictor with your rank and category.
Top- Tier Public Colleges:
1. JNTUK University College of Engineering, Kakinada
. BC-B cutoff typically land between 4000-5500
- Andhra University College of Engineering, Vishakhapatnam
. BC-B female cutoff in ECE roughly 4800-5800.
Now, Mid- Tier Public Colleges,
