For the next few weeks, everyone is asked to stop venturing out and this in turn provides ample time to students for a “no-distraction study”. Let us look at a few preparation tips for JEE Main 2020 during self isolation.

  • Re-create your Schedule - Since the students have a lot of time in their hands now, a new schedule can be prepared to adjust studies into the free hours now available. While preparing the schedule, the candidates are advised to switch up the subjects to study. This will allow the studies to be less monotonous and will surely help boost the preparation for the examination. Since the isolation period is till March 31, 2020 for now, candidates can also check JEE Main 2020 timetable during COVID- 19 self isolation.

  • Indulge in Online Learning - Dropping by the coaching centres is not possible now due to self isolation. Therefore, another alternative is to opt for online learning classes. Students can check the online classes of their coaching centres or also search for information on Youtube. These content will ensure that the students stay updated with their preparation for JEE Main 2020 (April session).

  • Practice Mock Tests - Students are advised to use the JEE Main mock tests in order to practice what they have studied. This will also allow the students to have a clearer idea about the areas which they need to work on. Since the mock tests are a replica of the entrance examination, the candidates can use it to understand the exam pattern of JEE Main 2020. Along with the mock tests, the candidates can also solve the sample papers of JEE Main 2020.

  • Revision is Important: Since the postponement of JEE Main 2020 was a last minute announcement, most of the students must have been prepared for the examination. Therefore, the focus should be on revision. There are many advantages of revision. Students will be able to go through whatever they have studied earlier through revision and keep it fresh in their mind.

  • Health is Wealth - The most important thing during this time is to keep the health at its best. The students are advised to get enough sleep and eat in a healthy manner. Refrain from going out and make the best use of time during self isolation. To freshen the mind, the students can also indulge in recreational activities indoors between studies. Remember that if your health is not top notch then your exam will also be the same.

Stay safe and all the best!

The marks needed for a 99+ percentile in the JEE Main January attempt depend on the difficulty of the paper and the total number of candidates. Generally, you need roughly *180–200* marks out of 300 to hit the 99+ percentile. The exact cutoff varies each session, so checking the official NTA percentile score calculator or previous year cutoffs gives a more precise idea.

Hello aspirant

JEE Main accepts NIOS, so you can appear if you meet the basic eligibility.

BITS does not accept marks from two different boards, so this option won’t work for BITS.

VIT and SRM generally accept NIOS, but having two separate mark sheets can be an issue. You should check their official eligibility rules before applying.
