The authority will activate the MHT CET lateral entry 2026 application link on the official website, dse2026.mahacet.org. Through the MHT CET lateral entry 2026, aspiring candidates will be selected into the direct second year of UG Courses of Bachelors in Engineering and Technology in various government, government aided, universities, and private educational institutions (including Minority Institutions) for the academic year 2026-27 in Maharashtra State.

For Maharashtra State and All India Candidature Candidates
Candidates must be a citizen of India.
They must have passed a minimum of a three years or two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks in any branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Central Government, State Government approved Institution or its equivalent;
Or
Candidates must have passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks and must have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject.
Candidates have passed three years D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector; and
Any other eligibility criteria and requirement declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

MHT-CET is a computer based test conducted only at allotted exam centers, not from home or personal PCs, Students from outside Maharashtra can appear for the exam at selected centres during application. Non-Maharashtra candidates usually can't claim state quota seats through CAP and often use JEE Main scores instead.
