MHT CET CAP 2026 Document Verification: The Maharashtra State CET Cell has started the MHT CET 2026 CAP document verification from July 3, 2026. After completing the MHT CET CAP counselling process, candidates must get their application and documents verified. The authority generally offers two verification modes: E-Scrutiny and Physical Mode. E-Scrutiny mode means uploading and verifying online, and Physical mode for Offline Verification at the Facilitation Centre. Students must login to the official website cetcell.mahacet.org and can choose between these two modes. The last date for the MHT CET CAP 2026 document verification is July 13, 2026. Earlier, the authority had commenced the MHT CET counselling process on July 2, 2026.

If a candidate chooses E-Scrutiny mode for document verification, they will not be required to visit any facilitation centre. They can upload scanned copies of the required documents during the CAP registration, and the verification is completed online by the designated Scrutiny centre.
To know how the E-Scrutiny mode works, follow the steps below:
Visit MHT CET CAP 2026 and upload all the documents.
Submit the application online.
The Scrutiny Centre verifies the uploaded documents.
If any document is incorrect or missing, an objection is raised in the candidate’s login portal.
Candidates will have to upload the corrected document within the specified time.
The application is confirmed online after verification of all documents.
The student has to attend the facilitation centre physically with their original documents and scanned copies of documents for verification. All the documents are verified, and the confirmation process of the application is completed by the officials of the facilitation centre.

First, have to register for MHT CET CAP 2026 on the website.
Choose the physical mode and visit the allotted Facilitation Centre during the assigned dates.

School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate
Aadhaar Card or any valid Government Photo ID
Passport-size Photograph
Candidate’s Signature
Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
Birth Certificate as proof of nationality and domicile

Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for applicable OBC, SBC, and other eligible categories)

Once the document verification process is successfully completed, the admission procedure proceeds
The Maharashtra State CET Cell will verify the CAP application of the candidate.
The merit list is declared by the authority in its provisional format based on MHT CET results and eligibility criteria.
If there is any discrepancy regarding merit, then the candidates can raise grievances in the prescribed time period.
After that, the CET Cell releases the final merit list.
The candidates select and lock their choice of college and engineering specialisation.
CAP Seat Allotment
The candidates must confirm the seat allotment online and have to pay the seat acceptance fee.
Lastly, the candidates will attend the allotted college with original documents.

MHT-CET is a computer based test conducted only at allotted exam centers, not from home or personal PCs, Students from outside Maharashtra can appear for the exam at selected centres during application. Non-Maharashtra candidates usually can't claim state quota seats through CAP and often use JEE Main scores instead.
