Ans: Yes, candidates can add more paper during the correction window period. The fee for the added paper will also be paid by the candidate.

Q: Can I remove any selected Paper during the correction window period?
Ans: Yes, the candidate can remove or add any selected Paper (Paper 1 and/or Paper 2A and/or Paper 2B) during the correction window period. An extra fee (if any) will be paid by the candidate. However, the fee for the removed paper will not be refunded.

Q: When will JEE Main result 2026 be released?
Ans: NTA will declare the JEE Main 2026 result date for session 1 on February 12, 2026, and session 2 in April 2026. The authority will update any changes in the JEE Main result date on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Ans:
Yes, if any candidate did not apply for the first Session, then he/she can apply for the second session. The application window will be re-opened briefly immediately after the declaration of the result of the first session.

Q. Which score will be considered in the compilation of Result and Preparation of Merit List / Ranking?
Ans:
A candidate has a choice to appear in one/ more sessions. He/ she will receive an NTA score in each session based on performance. The candidate’s best NTA Scores of all the sessions in which he/ she has appeared will be considered for preparation of the Merit List/ Ranking.

Q. I have no access to a computer and no experience with online exams. How can I prepare for the exam?
Ans: More than 4000 schools and engineering colleges with internet and computer facilities in every region will be facilitating free practice sessions every Saturday and Sunday for JEE Main 2026 aspirants. Student registration has to be done in online mode.

Q. Is it mandatory to give the exam two times or can I give it once? If I give the exam both times, which score will be considered?
Ans: This will be purely the candidate's choice. Whether he/she wish to give one attempt or two is entirely up to them. In case they have attempted both exams, the better of the two scores will be used to rank in the merit list.

Q. When will mock tests be available? How do access them?
Ans: JEE Main 2026 mock tests will be available in online mode on the official website of NTA. nta.ac.in. Candidates can also access mock tests of JEE Mains 2026 from various coaching institutes or online websites.

Q. Which scanned images have to be uploaded in the JEE Main application form?
Ans: Candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, class X certificate and PwD certificate in the application form of JEE Main 2026.

Ans: Yes, the Aadhaar Card number is not mandatory for JEE Mains 2026. Candidates can use any Government identity number such as Passport, voter ID, ration card, and more.

Ans: There will be no slot booking. Allotment of slots will be done randomly by the NTA authorities.
