Excerpts from the interview:
Careers360: Congratulations for your outstanding performance in JEE Advanced 2015! How did you celebrate your success?
Satvat: Thank you so much! It feels awesome to be the topper. I am very grateful to my parents as well as my teachers. I would not have been possible without them.
Careers360: Were you sure of cracking the prestigious JEE Advanced 2015 exam? How did you make it possible?
Satvat: Honestly, I was not just confident of cracking JEE Advanced, I also knew there was a possibility of me emerging as a topper. You need to put in a lot of effort in an exam of such significance. I am glad my hard work paid off.
Careers360: How did you find the difficulty level of JEE Advanced 2015 exam?
Satvat: It was not that tough for me. I had prepared well so I was able to solve most of the questions without much difficulty.
Careers360: What was your score in JEE Main? Which one do you think was tougher Mains or Advanced?
Satvat: In JEE Mains my score was 330 out of 360. Actually, that inspired me to work harder for Advanced. Between Mains and Advanced- none was tough for me. But if I had to choose, I would say that Mains had many complicated questions compared to Advanced. Advanced was much simpler for me. Also, Mains was lengthier than the Advanced paper.
Careers360: How did you make it possible? What was your preparation strategy and routine study period for JEE Advanced?
Satvat: I did not really follow any strict study routine. I kept it simple. I worked on the areas I was weak in and focused on strengthening my strong areas. Physics and Mathematics are two of my favorite subjects. So, I did not really feel like I was preparing. I was just enjoying studying. Besides, my teachers helped me a lot. All I had to do was revise whatever they would teach me and do my homework for the class.
Yes, I even took lot of mock tests. That helps you to manage the time. They also help you to know where you are making mistakes. I had done well in most of my mock tests. So, that fuelled my confidence for the actual examination.
Careers360: Which subject was the easiest and which was the toughest according to you in the JEE Advanced exam and during the preparation period?
Satvat: I did not find any subject too easy or too tough. But as I mentioned earlier, I enjoy Physics and Mathematics. So, it was easier for me to prepare for the two areas.
Careers360: Which IIT do you want to join? Also, have you decided upon your area of specialization?
Satvat: Well, I want to join IIT Bombay. I am thinking about taking up Computer science as my specialization.
Careers360: That is an interesting choice. So, what are your plans for the future?
Satvat: Thank you. I have not thought a lot about that. But yes, I am interested in doing research work. Possibly, in Physics and Mathematics.
Careers360: That was all about studies. Tell us what you do for recreation?
Satvat: Honestly, I haven’t had much time for recreation in the last few months. But yes, I do enjoy solving Sodoku. It is not only relaxing but also helps stimulating your brain.
Careers360: Please share your valuable tips and message for JEE aspirants, who will be appearing for the entrance exam next year.
Satvat: Focus on your strengths. Keep practicing and keep revising. To achieve anything you need to work hard.
Careers360: Careers360 wishes you all the best for your future!
Satvat: Thanks a lot!

Good Luck!!
minimum marks or percentage for sc in jee advanced to get cse in top 10 iits
Dear student,
If you belong from
SC
category
, then you must have to secure a very good rank, as well as marks in jee advanced to get
CSE
in any one of the
top 10 IITs
.
Now, for getting a sure seat in the 10th ranked iit, you have to secure atleast
under 170 to 200 rank
for getting cse.
So, for getting 170 sc rank you must have to score atleast
140
marks in jee advanced.
Then you can imagine that for getting cse in top iits like
iit madras, iit Delhi or iit Bombay
you have to secure under
50 sc rank,
that is your jee advanced marks must be above 160.
So, I think you have got a rough idea of marks or ranks for getting a sure seat in cse in top 10 iits.
All the best !
