JEE Advanced is an engineering entrance examination, considered one of the toughest exam in the world. It is conducted by the 7 zonal coordinating IITs, under the supervision of Joint Admission Board. Clearing JEE(Advanced) gives admissions in undergraduate programmes, integrated masters programme of all participating IITs. As per the guidelines laid down by Joint Admission Board, to appear in JEE Advanced candidate must be part of top 2,45,000 in JEE(Main) paper-1. The JEE(Advanced) is primarily designed to give admissions in IITs, and all IITs are considered best places for the study of engineering streams in India, But, still, some IITs are so well recognized that they are placed among top 200 best universities of the world in the famous QS World University Ranking of 2019. These include IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and IISc Banglore.
