    What is the 75% criteria in JEE Advanced 2026?

    Candidates have to qualify the JEE Advanced exam for admission to 23 IITs and a few other top-tier institutes accepting JEE Advanced scores. The JEE Advanced eligibility criteria do not require the 75% criteria to appear for the exam. However, for admission to IITs, candidates have to score at least 75% (65% for reserved categories) in their class 12 board exams. Alternatively, candidates who are among the top 20th percentile of their respective boards also become eligible for IIT admission.

    • The topper qualifiers of the JEE Main 2026 will be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam.

    • A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of three times in three consecutive years.

    • Candidates who have appeared for the class 10+2 exam in 2024, 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects qualify JEE Advanced.
