All six rounds of JAC Delhi 2017 seat allotment has been announced. Along with the seat allotment, the cutoff of the six rounds has also been declared. To check the allotment status, the candidates will have to log into their account by using the required credentials.  The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) is a process through which seat allotment for JAC Delhi 2017 is done for candidates who aspire to seek admission in the undergraduate engineering programmes in the participating institutes of JAC Delhi.  It is through centralised counselling that the seat allotment for JAC Delhi 2017 is done for admission to B.Tech, B.E and B. Arch programmes at IGDTUW, DTU, IIIT-Delhi and NSIT. The procedure for JAC Delhi 2017 seat allotment includes downloading of the provisional letter of seat allotment after filling of the choice by the candidates. There are approximately six rounds of seat allotment for JAC Delhi 2017 followed by spot round.  The selected candidates will have to pay the admission fees either through e-challan, net banking, debit or credit card. Procedure for JAC Delhi Seat Allotment 2017

  • Locking of choice - Seat Allotment of JAC Delhi 2017 has taken place after the candidates locked their choices and institutes in the online form. After registration, according to the eligibility of the candidate, the availability of the seats in the participating institutes and branches was displayed. Candidates had to take a print out of the filled choices after closing of choice for that particular round.

  • Merit List- The merit list of JAC Delhi 2017 was on the basis of the JEE Main score card of the candidates. However, at IIIT Delhi, the merit list was prepared according to:

(i) The total marks scored in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2017, converted to the base of 100.

(ii) Bonus marks were also taken into account while preparing the merit list.

(iii) However, the priority list was made on the basis of the total of the above two. Parameters.

(iv) If there was a tie, then candidate who had a higher rank in JEE Main 2017 was placed higher in the merit

  • Result Declaration after each round of seat allotment of JAC Delhi 2017 - The candidates had to log into their account and check their allotted institute and course.The JAC Delhi seat allotment is completely provisional and admission will be confirmed only after the verification of documents and certificates at the time of reporting at the respective institute of University. 

  • Print out of Provisional Seat Allotment Letter - Allotted Candidates had to take a print out of the provisional seat allotment after they log on to their respective account. The provisional seat allotment letter of JAC Delhi contains the branch allotted to the candidate, the name of the institute in which he is being offered admission, date of reporting. 

  • Modes of payment of Admission Fees - Candidates were required to pay the initial amount of admission fees of Rs 75, 000 through online mode or by cash at the SBI branch after they were allotted the seat in any of the participating institute or University of JAC. The candidates were able to pay the fees through their account or through the link provided below.

Offline payment of admission fees- Candidates could download the e-challan, take its print out in order to pay the admission fees at the nearest branch of the State Bank of India in cash. After paying the admission fees, candidates had to log in and enter the transaction number, branch code, name of the branch and date of deposit

 

Online payment of admission fees- Candidates had the option to pay the admission fees by using different modes of payment that are given below.

  • Net banking

  • Credit Card

  • Debit Card

Candidates were required to submit the printout of the transaction/receipt at the time of verification of the document for admission.

  • Verification of documents -Confirmation of admission will be only after verification of documents at the allotted institute and payment of admission fees.  At the time of JAC Delhi Counselling 2017, there will also be verification of documents of the candidates.

  • Reporting at the allotted institute- Candidates must report at the allotted institute on the specified date. If the candidate fails to report at the allotted institute, then he will not be considered in subsequent rounds of counselling except for spot round.

  • Upgradation of seats - A candidate, who had been admitted to a branch other than his/her first choice, will automatically be upgraded (depending on the availability of vacant seats), as per his/her merit in JEE(Main)- 2017, to a branch of his/her higher preference as indicated in his/her online application form. A candidate, who was already admitted and got upgraded in next round of counselling, was not required to report at the upgraded University/Institute

  • Freezing of the seats - If the candidate wished to continue in the branch that was allotted to him and did not want an upgradation, then the candidate had to submit a request to JAC in writing on the day of admission/allotment of branch for freezing the same at the reporting University / Institute.

 Verification of Documents- JAC Delhi 2017 Seat Allotment

 

Candidates must bring with them the list of documents that are given below along with at least one set of self-attested photocopies.

11.

Date of birth certificate as mentioned in the high school or equivalent examination

Note- Candidates must remember that if they are claiming reservation under different categories, sub-categories, the certificate in this regard must be issued to them on or before the day of reporting.

 

 JAC Delhi Seat Allotment 2017 - Spot Round 

 

In the spot round of seat allotment of JAC Delhi 2017, the vacant seats were offered to the candidates after admission in DTU, IIIT-D, NSIT & IGDTUW after upgradation within the category and sub-category.

Candidates who were eligible to take part in the spot round of JAC Delhi 2017 seat allotment are given below:

  • Candidates who had not been offered any seat till the last round

  • Candidates who withdrew after taking admission in any of the participating institute or university till the last date of withdrawal. The admission fees was refunded after the deduction of Rs 1,000 only.

  • Candidates who had not  taken admission in any of the participating university or institute of JAC Delhi 2017

  • The registered candidates who could participate in the spot round are given below:

(i)Those candidates who did not fill any choice during the online registration process

(ii)Candidates who were allotted seats during some other round but they failed to report for admission at any of the institutes- NSIT, DTU, IGDTUW, IIITD

(iii)Candidates who were allotted seat during some round of counselling, however, the seats were cancelled due to some problem

 

Steps to be followed for Spot  Round of Seat Allotment of JAC Delhi 2017

 

 

Candidates who are eligible to participate in the spot round of JAC Delhi seat allotment were required to follow steps that are given below.

Step 1- Registration-  Candidate had to register on the link that was provided here. The registration was an undertaking or willingness to participate in spot round.

 

Step 2-Payment of spot round of participation fees-Candidates had to pay the spot round of participation fees of Rs 10, 000. It is adjustable/ refundable. The participation fees could be paid by:

  • Credit card

  • Debit card

  • Net banking

Candidates had to remember that neither demand draft, cheques or cash will be accepted at the reporting institute.

 

Step-3-Submission of admission fees-When the seat is allotted in the spot round, candidate will have to pay Rs 65, 000 or else they will not be admitted

 

Step-4- Withdrawal of Admission-There will be no refund of fees for candidates who were admitted during the spot round if they decide to withdraw from admission

 

Note- Within 15 days, the participation fees will be refunded to the account of those candidates who were not admitted at the time of spot round.

Those candidates who had not registered online for spot round, according to the counselling schedule, would be disallowed to participate in spot round.

 

JAC Delhi Seat Allotment 2017- Fee Structure

 

 

Candidates can check the fees that are to be paid at the various participating institutes after seat allotment of JAC Delhi. The admission fees can be paid either in online mode or through offline. The initial admission fees that has to be paid is of Rs 75,000.

Withdrawal of seat and refund of fees

  • Candidates can put forward their request for withdrawal of admission to the institute in which they were allotted seat at the time of JAC Delhi 2017 seat allotment.

  • Candidates will have to surrender the documents which were issued to them at the time of admission or counselling. Candidates must remember that their request for withdrawal for admission would not be entertained if they do not submit the original copies of the requisite documents which were issued to them at the time of the counselling.

  • If the candidate withdrew his admission after July 20, 2017 by 5:00 P.M, then there was a penalty of Rs 1, 000. JAC Delhi 2017  and any request for withdrawal after 5:00 P.M will not be entertained

  • The request for withdrawal of admission, if it was received by July 20, 2017 (5:00 p.m),  was processed within 30 days after the closing of all the admissions.

  • If the candidates withdrew their admission after 5:00 P.M of July 20, 2017,  then the respective college or university processed that request.
