WBJEE 2026 Exam Pattern - Highlights
WBJEE exam will be conducted in offline mode, as an OMR-based.
Each WBJEE paper will be of 2-hour duration.
The questions in the WBJEE 2026 exam paper will be divided into three categories, and the marking scheme for each category differed.
PwD candidates are eligible to avail an extra 20 minutes in each paper, for which they had to sit for the examination in the Board’s office in Kolkata.
Visually impaired PwD candidates are allowed to use a scribe or a writer having lower academic qualifications than the candidate.

Students will be provided an OMR sheet to mark their responses. It is important to practice making answers on the WBJEE OMR sheet. Below are few instructions regarding the WBJEE OMR.
- The question is to be answered in the optical readable response (OMR Sheet)
- To mark the answer, dark the appropriate circle completely with a blue or black ball pen
- Any kind of marking such as a tick mark, dot mark, cross mark, incomplete filling, filling with pencil, scratching, erasing white link, or marking outside circle will result in partial/wrong / ambiguous reading of the response.
- Marking in the response can not be changed/edited / modified

Full fee reimbursement is usually given only to students who belong to the home state and satisfy the state-specific eligibility rules. In MHT-CET, only Maharashtra domicile candidates under valid categories are eligible for government fee reimbursement.
