Careers360: JEE Advanced went online this year. What is your opinion about it? Did it change your preparation strategy for the exam?
MSK Manohar: I felt happy about JEE Advanced being conducted in online mode because there was no need to bubble the answers and we could also change our responses before submission. I did not change my preparation strategy much except for taking the online tests like AITS which helped me a lot.
Careers360: When did you start your JEE Advanced preparation? Tell us something about your preparation strategy and daily routine for JEE Advanced?

I hope you are talking about NIT .
Since you are a 12th student you must be clear and thorough with your 12th syllabus . Along with that you must be in touch with your 11th syllabus . Now you have very less time for preparation you cannot focus on each and every thing , thus you should list all the important topics from each subject (11th and12th ) and clear those subjects such that you can solve any question given to you . Your aim should be to solve maximum correct question and avoid negative marking . For this you need practice , so practice questions on a daily basis keeping a timer of 3hrs . You must follow a 45 minute cycle that means In a duration of 3 hrs you must give 45 min to each subject and try to attempt 30 questions. In the left 45 min you should cross check your answers and try to solve those questions which you skipped or you weren't able to solve . This is the best strategy which if you follow I ensure you can crack JEE mains easily and your path to NIT or your dream college will be open .
Best of luck for your future .
Hope this helps .
According to rough calculations your rank won't go more than 15k. It will be under 15k. You can get core branches in middle NITs. If you are compatible than, you can leave mains and focus on jee advanced. But, remember you won't get CSE in NITs, you need to exel in jee advanced for CSE.
So, decide wisely
It would be difficult to predict the exact JEE Main qualifying cutoff. However, as the expected qualifying cutoff, you have good chances to qualify the JEE Main exam and appear for JEE Advanced.
Check the expected cutoff using the link below-
The maximum marks for JEE advanced is not fixed and this year JEE advanced is yet to be conducted.
therefore it cannot be predicted what would be your all India rank in JEE advanced if you get 85 marks.also the all India rank depends upon the relative performance sometime question paper comes very difficult and with less marks you will get better man thanks and sometimes you need more marks to get the same rank therefore it is very answer then so so don't go just by numbers.
