JEE 2013 Exam Pattern
A. Applicable for IIT-JEE (For IITs etc) and AIEEE (For NITs, IIITs etc)B. Test to be conducted in two parts:
I. Offline Exam – 7th April 2013 (Sunday)
II. Online Exam – Between 8th April to 25th April 2013

1. JEE Main:
It Will consists of one test of 3 hours for BE/B.Tech course and one test will be for B.Architecture/B.Planning aspirants.
There will be negative marking with multiple choice questions.

2. JEE Advance:
I. It will consists of two tests (Paper-I & Paper-II) of 3 hours each

You can calculate your rank in JEE Main Paper 1 using the formula:
Rank = (100-percentile)*(No. of students appeared for the examination)/100
As the no. of students appeared for Paper 1 (Jan) are around 869000, your rank will be around 9650. However as the no. of students in April changes, your rank will change according to that.

No, you can't get into NIT Trichy by this rank . The rank for general caste should be atleast below 20000 to get into any stream. For more information I am providing the link below:

First of all, percentile indicates the the number of students whose percentile is same or below/above of you. It shows your rank that where you stand in from all the students. It is not possible to calculate marks from your percentile score.
E.g. if a student scored 70 out of 100 then he will be having 100 percentile because he is ahead of all the students.
So, it not possible to assume the marks by just percentile scores.
