A rank list will be prepared by the authorities on the basis of the JEE Main performance of the candidates. Only those candidates who are shortlisted in the released rank list will have to report at the counselling session to verify their documents and confirm their admission. Courses Offered through JMI Admission 2018
The eligibility criteria of JMI Admission 2018 states all of the conditions that the candidates are required to fulfill to be eligible for admissions. All candidates are requested to read the given criteria in detail before filling the application form. The registrations of ineligible candidates will be rejected by the authorities.
Age Limit: The candidates should be 17 years old as on October 1, 2018.
Academic Qualifications: 10+2th standard (or equivalent) examination should have been cleared by the candidates from a recognized board. Candidates who have qualified 12th standard in the year of 2016 or 2017 or will be appearing in 2018 will be eligible for admissions.
Qualifying Marks: The candidates should have secured atleast 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2th standard (or equivalent) exam. Those candidates with a diploma of engineering recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of 3 or 4 years duration will be eligible if they have secured at least 55% marks.
JEE Main 2018 – All candidates should have appeared for JEE Main 2018 as all admissions are done based on JEE Main scores.
The reservation criteria of JMI Admission 2018 shows the percentage of seats reserved for all categories and the required eligibility to fit in the category. According to JMI Admission 2018 reservation criteria, a certain percentage of seats will be reserved for Muslims, Persons with Disabilities, Kashmiri migrants and more. Some seats will also be reserved for internal students of Jamia Millia Islamia University. Candidates need to apply only under ONE reserved category. It is important that the candidates must fulfill the prescribed JMI 2018 Eligibility criteria.
Muslim Minority: 30 per cent of the total number of seats in each course will be reserved for the Muslim applicants while 10 per cent will be reserved for Muslim Women applicants. 10 per cent of the seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to “Muslim Other Backward Classes”(OBCs) and Muslim Scheduled Tribes”
Person with Disabilities: 3 per cent of the seats will be reserved for physically challenged persons under JMI Reservation Criteria 2018.
Internal Jamia Students: 5% of the seats will be reserved for those candidates who have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from JMI schools as a regular student.
The application form of JMI Admission 2018 opened in online mode on December 5, 2017. While filling the application form, the candidates will have to ensure that all information provided is valid and as per the documents of the candidates. The final date to submit the filled JMI Admission 2018 application form is March 14, 2018. Unregistered candidates can not participate further in the admission process. Step 1 – Registration: The candidates have to register themselves by submitting their name, postal address, email ID and mobile number. The preferred course also has to be selected by the candidates.
Step 2 – Filling of Application Form: Next, the candidates will have to provide their personal, academic and contact information. It is necessary that the details provided has to be correct otherwise the application form will be rejected.
Step 3 – Uploading of Scanned Documents: The candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their passport size photograph and signature. The size of the image should not be more than 100 KB and should be in JPEG format. After submission of the scanned images, a unique registration ID will be generated and sent to the candidate’s registered email ID which has to be kept safe for future use.
Step 4 – Payment of Application Fees: After filling up the required details, the candidates will have to pay the application fees. The payment can be done in both online mode (net banking/ credit card/ debit card) or offline mode (SBI challan). An acknowledgement slip will be generated after the payment is done. The slip has to be kept safely for future use.

JMI Admission 2018 Cutoff
The cutoff of JMI Admission 2018 will be prepared by the concerned authorities of Jamia Millia Islamia University. The score or marks required for allotment into the institute will be determined based on the performance in JEE Main 2018 examination. JMI Admission 2018 cutoff will act as a screening process for all admissions into the B.Tech courses of the institute.
JMI Admission 2018 Merit List
Jamia Millia Islamia University will be releasing the merit/rank list of JMI Admission 2018 between June 30 and July 5, 2018. All of those candidates who have been selected for admissions will be listed out in the released merit list of JMI Admission 2018. The authorities will prepare the merit list based on the candidates’ performance in JEE Main 2018 examination. The merit list will be available for download after it is released in online mode. Those candidates who are not named in the merit list will not be allowed to participate in the counselling session.
The candidates who are listed in the JMI Admission 2018 merit list will have to report at the University to register themselves and confirm their admission. Document verification will also be held and the candidates will also be required to pay the tuition fees.
