JMI B.Tech Reservation Criteria 2019 - Jamia Millia Islamia University has released the JMI B.Tech 2019 reservation criteria. This criterion is for candidates who applies for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes under reserved categories. Under JMI B.Tech 2019 reservation criteria, a percentage of seats will only be given to candidates belonging to categories like Muslims, Persons with Disabilities, Kashmiri migrants etc. The reservation criteria of JMI B.Tech 2019 will play a crucial role during JMI admissions, since, there will be no entrance exam; it will be on the basis of candidate’s rank in JEE Main 2019 entrance exam. Candidates will have to apply only under ONE reserved category. It is important that they fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria of JMI 2019.
The relaxation in minimum prescribed percentage of marks in the qualifying examination for admission to a particular programme will be permissible only under one relaxation criteria
In case, candidate belongs to a reserved category and gets into JMI Admission 2019 under General category, then he or she will be considered under General category as well as the claimed reserved category. However, such candidates will be admitted only under one category (either General or claimed reserved category).

Of the total number of seats in each course, 30 percent will be reserved for Muslim candidates.
Of the total number of seats in each course, 10 percent will be reserved for Muslim Women candidates.
10 percent of the seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to “Muslim Other Backward Classes”(OBCs) and Muslim Scheduled Tribes”.
JMI B.Tech Reservation Criteria 2019 for Person with Disabilities
5 percent of the seats will be reserved for physically challenged persons under JMI Reservation Criteria 2019. Persons with disabilities will be included under the following categories:
JMI B.Tech 2019 Reservation Criteria for Internal Jamia Students
5 percent of the total number of seats in all Undergraduate Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate Programmes will be reserved for internal students of Jamia. These seats will be filled under Reservation Criteria of JMI Admission 2019.
Note: Candidates appearing in different exams of Jamia Millia Islamia University will not be entitled for reservation under this category.
JMI B.Tech Reservation Criteria 2019 under Special Provisions
The admission to Kashmiri Migrants will be considered over and above not exceeding 5% of the total seats in the programme and not exceeding two seat in programs offered by Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Kashmiri migrants will have to apply and go through the entire admission process.
These candidates will have to submit a certificate in support of their claim of being Kashmiri migrants obtainable from the registered Divisional Commissioner of the concerned State/ UnionTerritory.
Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir
The admission to candidates belonging to Jammu & Kashmir will be considered over and above not exceeding 2seats in the programs offered by Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Such candidates will have to produce a certificate in support of their claim of being from Jammu & Kashmir.
10 per cent of the seats will be reserved for candidates of foreign origin. Foreign candidates may apply under general Category.
