Tie-Breaking Guidelines for IIST B.Tech 2019 Rank List
There may be such situations where two or more candidates secure the same JEE Advanced 2019 marks. This will cause a conflict while the rank list is being prepared and the authorities can follow the guidelines as mentioned below:
Candidates who have scored higher than Mathematics will be awarded higher ranks.
If the tie has not been solved, the candidates who have higher marks in Physics will be given higher ranks.
If the tie still remains, then the candidate who has a higher rank in JEE Main 2019 in the respective category will be allotted a higher rank.
Highlights of IIST B.Tech Rank List 2019
The authorities will be preparing the rank list of IIST B.Tech 2019 on the basis of the aggregate JEE Advanced 2019 scores of the candidates.
Based on their ranking in the merit list, the candidates will be called in for allotment through the counselling process.
Registrations for IIST B.Tech Admission 2019 will be open for all eligible candidates from May 22. It is essential for the candidates to register and fill the correction details to participate in the admission process.
In JEE Advanced 2019, candidates belonging to the General Category need minimum 20% in aggregate along with minimum 5% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. However, candidates of OBC-NCL category need minimum 18% in aggregate and 4.5% in three subjects individually, whereas, SC, ST and PwD candidates need 10% in aggregate and 2.5% in each of the subjects to be eligible.

Definitely. The whole requirement for IIT JEE is to have Physics chemistry and mathematics as your main subjects. Moreover, you'll be needing a minimum of 75% marks to get into IITs or have to be in the top 20 Percentile of your respective boards. For CBSE this requirement is 75%.

jee main can be given by all over india candidates. and eligibility criteria is same for all. candidate need to pass the 10+2 exam from a recognized board of india. for iits, nits, gftis students need to secure 75% marks in 10+2 exam, for sc/st it is 65% or need to be in top 20 percentile of the respective board from which the candidate appear in 10+2 exam.
First of all I want to make one thing clear that only scoring 75 percent in class 12th doesn't make anyone eligible for jee advance , in order to be eligible for jee advance, you need to clear jee mains but yes since you have scored more than 75 % in nios boards so you will be eligible for nits , iits etc if you performed well in jee as nios board is a recognised board and it is accepted by nits , iits etc. So , prepare well for jee
Dear Vishu, the year gap will not affect your future because you had medical issues. You can appear for JEE Mains 2020 and secure a seat and take admission. During placements, there will be questions asked and so keep all your Medical documents intact. It's not that they would want to check it but it is just for your justification. But for now, your focus should remain JEE Mains 2020 and you can cross that ship when time comes. During placements, what matters is your aggregate in your Bachelors and also your performance in the Interview.
