HPTU is less likely to upload the merit list of HPCET 2026 on the official website. However, candidates will be able to check the HPCET merit details though login. The HPCET merit pdf will comprise the names and details of the candidates who are eligible for admission to HPCET participating institutes. The merit list of HPCET 2026 will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination.

The HPCET 2026 merit list will be based on marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying exam. In case two or more candidates score the same marks, then the authorities use the following procedure to break a tie.
Candidates with higher marks in Physics will be placed higher.
If a tie persists then the marks of Chemistry will be considered.
If a tie still persists then the marks of class 12th will be considered.
If a tie is still not resolved then a candidate who will be older will be given preference.
Candidates listed in the HPCET merit list 2026 will be considered for the further admission process. To participate in the counselling of HPCET 2026, candidates have to register and select their preferred course and college for admission. HPCET 2026 counselling will be conducted in an online mode.
Candidates who will be listed in the HPCET merit list 2026 will be eligible to participate in all the rounds of admission.
The admission authorities will release a separate merit list for HPCET 2026 and JEE Main 2026 candidates.
The merit list will contain many details of the candidates such as name, roll number, marks secured and rank allotted.
