How to get 100% scholarship in engineering colleges- Pursuing an engineering degree opens up a myriad of opportunities for the aspirants to gain exciting job prospects within or outside the country as well as to continue higher education, either in India or abroad. However, engineering is a very specialised course that might be beyond the financial reach of some aspirants. Hence, engineering colleges offer financial assistance to students in the form of scholarships to help ease the monetary load and allow meritorious and deserving students to pursue engineering. While universities have their criteria regarding scholarships for engineering students, the general prerequisites to offer a full scholarship include being a state topper or a topper in the entrance exams like IIT JEE 2024 or SRMJEEE 2024 or performing exceptionally well in the 12th standard exams i.e. securing a percentage above 80 to 90.

  • Maintain high academic records. This is proof that the candidate is serious about the scholarship they are receiving and will continue to deserve to receive the scholarship.

  • Gain top scores in the entrance tests as a lot of scholarships are based on the score or ranks gained by the candidates in their entrance tests

  • Candidates belonging to certain reservation categories are also eligible to get scholarships.

  • It is also advisable to participate in extracurricular activities during the course years, as many universities emphasize the students' overall development and not just their academic performances.

Questions related to JEE Main

Have a question related to JEE Main ?

Hello Aspirant,

If you get admitted into the B.S. program at IIT Madras this year and this year happens to be your first JEE Advanced attempt, then yes, you will remain eligible to take JEE Advanced again next year if you satisfy the other eligibility norms laid down by the conducting authorities of the exam. The important thing is that the candidate gets two chances at JEE Advanced at the most, and these chances have to come within two successive years from the year when they first appeared for the test. Since you are trying for the first time, you have one chance remaining for the next year.

But once you are admitted into an IIT undergraduate course, you cannot sit for JEE Advanced again to get into the same course. But if you are interested in a different course or a double degree (such as B.Tech + M.Tech), you may want to look up the particular rules from the JEE Advanced official website or the IITs.

It's unlikely you'll get into IT or ECE at Jaypee Noida with an 86 percentile in JEE Main 2025. While it might be possible to get into some other programs or lower-ranked institutes, achieving that percentile would likely mean a lower rank and less competitive chances for those specific programs

With a JEE Mains percentile of 47.4 and a rank of 800,000, you are unlikely to get admission into a B.Tech CSE program at a reputed government institution like BITS Pilani (BTKIT). Your chances are very slim, especially for a highly competitive program like CSE.

It's unlikely you'll get a B.Tech CSE seat in GGSIPU with a JEE Main rank of 482600, even with the SC category reservation. GGSIPU does accept JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions. However, CSE programs are highly competitive, and a rank of 482600 might not be sufficient, especially considering the lower seat availability for SC candidates.

Your chances of getting into the reputed NITs or IIITs are not high at 6612, so try for newer NITs or IIITs in core or less crowded branches.

Expected Colleges:

NIT Mizoram

National Institute of Technology at Arunachal Pradesh

NIT Nagaland

NIT Manipur

IIIT Kurnool

IIIT Bhagalpur

IIIT Bhopal

IIIT Agartala

It could be necessary to:

Try to focus on mechanical, civil, metallurgy or ECE instead of CSE.

Join the JoSAA Counselling process and utilize the CSAB Special Rounds because the cutoffs are usually lower.

Advice for Stronger Admission.

Apply the Home State Quota whenever it is required.

Observe the cutoff ranks provided by the JoSAA 2024 data.

Be sure to insert as much information as possible during counselling.

Though you are placed high in the popular science stream, various students with comparable ranks have managed to take seats in other colleges via CSAB spot rounds in less common departments.
