Hello

The JEE syllabus mainly covers Physics, Chemistry, and Math from NCERT Class 11 and 12.
You should follow NCERT first because it builds the strongest foundation for all three subjects.
For a deeper understanding, use books like H.C. Verma (Physics), Cengage (Maths), and O.P. Tandon / M.S. Chouhan (Chemistry).
For practice, solve JEE Main PYQs to understand the exam pattern.

You can check the updated syllabus of JEE mains from here: SYLLABUS.

You can find books for all subjects from here: BOOKS

Hello,

You should select Jharkhand for the JEE Mains application form because you will be reappearing in the exam as a private candidate in Jharkhand. The state you will be appearing in and your passing year are what you should fill in your JEE Mains application form, but not your 12th class state.

Hope it helps!!!

It's a very good choice to aim for IIT, for getting admission in IIT you must take pure mathematics as it teach you more concept than applied which help to get more score in JEE Mains and Advanced.

The JEE Main Chapter-Wise Previous Year Questions (PYQs) is one of the most effective study tools because it allows you to:

  1. Identify High-Weightage Areas: Pinpoint chapters frequently tested in previous exams.

  2. Understand Pattern: Master the specific style and depth of questions asked by NTA.

  3. Improve Speed & Accuracy: Practice time management by solving questions sequentially.

Hi there,

You should take pure mathematics if you want to pursue AI engineering at IIT after JEE, because the syllabus of JEE Advanced is based on pure mathematics, so it will help you to have a strong base foundation in the concepts. You can perform well in your exam.

Hope it helps!!!

Hi SHOURYA

There is no problem if you upload a mismatched photo in the JEE Mains registration form, which does not match your newly updated Aadhar card photo.

Here are some steps which you can take -

  • First, submit your JEE Mains registration form correctly.
  • Second, wait for the opening of the correction window of JEE Mains 2026, which would be expected to open 1-5 December 2025.
  • Until you update your name, exam city and other details.

I hope this information helps you. If you know more about the JEE Mains exam, you can visit our official website, careers360.

Best Wishes.

Hi there,

As you have already updated the name in your Aadhar card according to the Marks list, there should not be any problem getting your admit card. It would have been a problem if you had not changed the name on your Aadhar card. But make sure you have your updated Aadhar card and other documents on the exam day or while verification.

Hope it helps!!!

Hello there!

It is very important to be aware of the weightage of different chapters of physics, chemistry and math for JEE mains, it will help you to determine how much amount of studying is required for a particular chapter for the preparation.

Following is the link attached from the official website of Careers360 for the chapter wise weightage of all the subjects of JEE mains . Kindly go through it.

thank you!

Hello,

You do not need to worry.

If your 10th online result copy clearly shows your name, roll number, school name, board name, and marks, then NTA usually accepts it. For JEE Main application, the Class 10 certificate is only for verification of your date of birth , not for marks.

But if NTA gives a correction window and allows replacing the document, it is better to upload the proper 10th board mark sheet . This avoids any doubt later.

Sugessions:

  • If correction window opens then Re-upload the correct 10th mark sheet .

  • If no option is given then your current document is normally fine.

No need to panic. This is a common mistake.

Hope it helps !
