Hello there,
No, generally you cannot do a 1-year diploma and then directly write TS ECET to get admission into the 2nd year of B.Tech.
Here's why, according to the standard eligibility criteria for TS ECET:
A 1-year diploma typically does not fulfill the requirement of a full 3-year diploma course. The lateral entry scheme is designed for students who have completed the full foundational engineering knowledge provided by a standard 3-year diploma.
Therefore, to be eligible for TS ECET, you would need to complete a full 3-year diploma program first.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Hello there,
With a branch rank of 413 in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and as an AP (Andhra Pradesh) student, you have a competitive standing, especially if you're looking for a seat in a government college or university under a state quota.
In Andhra Pradesh, government engineering colleges and universities, such as JNTU and AU (Andhra University), often offer free or subsidized seats under the "Convener Quota" or Category-A seats. These seats are primarily based on EAMCET ranks, with some consideration given to reservation categories (such as SC, ST, BC) and economic backgrounds, as per the state’s fee reimbursement scheme.
