Once you have the 20 May CET question paper answer key in hand, here is how you calculate your score:
Download the unofficial answer key uploaded on this page
Go through each question and check if your answer matches the key
Every correct answer gets you +2 marks in the mathematics section and +1 mark for the physics and chemistry sections.
Skipped or wrong answers get 0—no marks are cut, as there is no negative marking in the MHT CET exam.
Add up all the correct answers and use the formula given below to calculate your total score:
Total Marks = (Total no. of correct answer * 2 (for mathematics)) + (Total no. of correct answers * 1 (for physics and chemistry))
A full paper analysis for the CET 20 May 2026 question paper will be added here once both shifts end. Our team will speak to students at the exam centres and use their feedback to put together the analysis. The analysis will cover the overall difficulty level of Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, important chapters from which questions were asked, question distribution across the syllabus — Class 11 vs Class 12, topics that came up the most, and comparison with previous Session 2 dates. Students with exams on May 21 should check this page after the exam. The analysis will help them know what to focus on in the little time they have left.

Assuming your exam is still a day away, the best thing you can do at this very moment is work through a past year's paper against the clock. Finding new topics is useless now…there's not enough time. But ensuring your question-reading and solving pace is where it should be before
stepping into the exam hall is crucial. Working through the previous years' papers also indicates what topics MHT CET has repeatedly examined over the years and those are the topics you should brush up on the night before.
Once you have calculated your estimated score using the answer key, you can use the MHT CET 2026 College Predictor Tool to find out which colleges and branches are compatible with your percentile and category. The tool gives a list of options across Maharashtra so you can start planning your preferences before the official result is out.
The MHT CET 2026 results are expected in June 2026, after all exam dates are done. Scorecards will be available on cetcell.mahacet.org. Students will need their application number and date of birth to log in and check their results.
