The real controversy was the leak of the candidate's data security. A cybersecurity researcher reported that the JEE Advanced 2026 result and admit card details were made publicly accessible. A total of 179600 result records and around 187300 admit card PDFs were exposed to the public. This issue was raised due to the cloud storage configuration. As the news of the data breach and exposure broke, it confused students with the JEE Advanced paper leak.
