ITI Apprentice is a practical training provided to students by a company or industry, where they work under an agreement made between the employer and the apprentice at a minimal wage. The apprentice training period lasts for 5 to 25 months. Further, the apprentices are offered a monthly stipend amount ranging from Rs 6,800 to Rs 16,000+. Moreover, some companies also accept the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme or NAPS. On the official website, students will find multiple apprenticeship opportunities posted by various companies located across different states of India.
Candidates must visit the ITI apprentice portal to begin their registration online. The ITI apprentice portal is a website under the Central Government for the exchange of information on Apprenticeship. Here, students can find information such as available Apprenticeship Opportunities based on the Search Parameters like State, District, Sector and Trade. To complete the ITI apprentice registration online, follow these steps.
On the home page of Apprenticeship India, navigate to the ‘Register’ button on the top toolbar and select the option "Candidate."
A new registration page will open with two options: ‘Login as a candidate’
and ‘Register as a candidate’.
If not already registered, click on the second option, where applicants must provide their mobile number and email ID.
The registration activation link will be sent to the same email. Open the mail and click on the ‘Activate’ button, which will redirect to the Log-In page.
Type your registered Email ID/Registration Number and password to complete the ITI apprentice login
After a successful registration, candidates must complete their profile.
To complete the profile, students must complete their eKYC, profile details, and bank details. Find below details on ITI apprentice registration online.
To apply for the apprenticeship opportunities, candidates must complete their eKYC. Registered candidates will find the "Complete your eKYC" button/link in the dashboard or registration area. Now follow the steps below.
Insert your Aadhaar number and receive an OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile, and enter it to verify your identity.
Now, verify your auto-filled details as per the Aadhaar card and click on submit.
Applicants will receive a message confirming that their eKYC has been verified successfully.
After completing the eKYC, applicants must fill in their profile details. Candidates will not be able to apply to any Apprenticeship Opportunity without completing their profile. Find the step for the same.
On the dashboard, find ‘Profile Details’, and click on update.
Start by clicking the ‘Edit’ button to add details in the “About Me” and Contact Details section.
After completion of eKYC, applicants must complete their bank details so that the stipend or payment received during their apprenticeship is transferred to the correct bank account.
On the dashboard, navigate to ‘Bank Details Update’ and click on update.
Now, the bank details will appear, where applicants are required to fill in the details such as Holder Name, Account Number, Bank Name, IFSC Code, and Branch Name.
After the details are filled, click Save or Submit.
As per the ITI apprenticeship eligibility criteria, Candidates must have:
Completed 14 years of age.
18 years in the case of Hazardous Industries, defined under the Apprenticeship Rules
They must have passed a minimum of 5th class (for the Optional Trade).
And they are meeting the standard of physical fitness for the course.
Further, they must also have a minimum educational qualification prescribed for a trade.
