According to last year’s eligibility norms, there is no minimum or maximum 12th class percentage required for appearing in JEE Main exam. However, candidates need a minimum of 75% in 12th standard to get admission in IITs or NITs. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the JEE Mains 2026 correction facility from December 1. Candidates will be given only one chance to make corrections to their JEE Mains 2026 application form .
The particulars in the application form that will be allowed to change includes candidates’ or father’s or mother’s name, class 10 and 12 details, state code of eligibility, medium of the examination, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category or PwD, signature and Aadhaar details. Whereas, candidates will not be allowed to change their mobile number, email address, address (permanent and present), emergency contact details, and photograph of details.

The authority has decided on a certain mandatory percentage of marks in 10+2 for candidates to be eligible for the JEE Mains examination. Below are the eligibility marks criteria required by the students for JEE Mains.
If candidates belonging to the General category want to apply for admission into IITs, then they need to pass 10+2 with 75% of marks (65% for SC, ST and PwD).
Candidates aspiring for the JEE Mains examination should complete their 10+2 with certain mandatory subjects. Below are the subjects required in 10+2 for the JEE Mains 2026 exam.
Candidates who want to take admission in B.Tech/B.E. are required to pass 10+2 with Math and Physics as mandatory subjects. They can have a third subject as Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational subjects.
For B.Arch candidates, the compulsory subjects are Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.
Candidates who want B. Planning must pass 10+2 with at least Maths as one of the subjects.

If your Aadhaar photo doesn’t match your live capture photo on your JEE Main 2026 form, fix it during the correction window. The National Testing Agency lets you update things like personal details and photos at that time. If you leave the mismatch, you’ll probably run into trouble during verification at the exam center. So, make things easier for yourself—get your correct photo and Aadhaar details ready, and upload them as soon as the correction window opens. If the window’s not open yet, just sit tight and watch for the official announcement. Don’t fill out another form, or you’ll risk creating duplicate applications.

There would be two sessions in JEE 2026 exam, one in January and other in April and there is NO compulsion to give both it's student's choice, they can appear in any one session.
