DTE, Kerala has commenced the Kerala Polytechnic 2026 admission online on June 1, 2026. The authority has released the Kerala Polytechnic 2026 important dates online. The authorities will conduct the entire process of admission in two streams:
Stream 1 - Diploma course in Engineering & Technology
Stream 2 - Diploma in Commercial Practice/Diploma in Computer Application and Business Management
The authority is conducting the Kerala Polytechnic 2026 counselling and seat allotment on the official website, dtetech.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates will need to submit their application form to participate in the Kerala Polytechnic admission. The authority will release the Kerala Polytechnic rank list and seat allotment based on the candidate's marks. Applicants who will get allotted seats will have to report to the institutes along with the required documents. Kerala Polytechnic counselling and seat allotment will be done in two rounds, followed by a spot round.
The authority will also release a trial allotment to allow students to find their chances of admission. This will help candidates to change or edit their courses and colleges. Candidates must submit their choices by the last date.

Now, candidates have to select your courses and institutes based on your preferences. If candidates are allotted their preferred seats, then need to pay the acceptance fee and report to the allotted institute.
If the seat allotted to a candidate is not a first preferred seat but still he or she wants to keep it then a candidate has to cancel the higher preferences and also has to report at the allotted institute on the scheduled date.
However, if a candidate doesn’t wish to keep a lower preferred allotted seat then he or she will have to participate in the subsequent rounds to keep the chances of being allotted a first preference seat. To do so, a candidate has to report at the polytechnic college and submit a higher option. Also, get a confirmation of a report.
