Department of Technical Education will conduct Kerala Polytechnic admissions 2020 to offer admissions in engineering diploma courses in Kerala. The authorities will conduct the entire process of admission in two streams:
Stream 1 - Diploma course in Engineering & Technology
Stream 2 - Diploma in Commercial Practice/Diploma in Computer Application and Business Management
Admission authorities will conduct the procedure for Kerala Polytechnic 2020 counselling & seat allotment after publishing the final rank list tentatively in the third week of June. A total of three rounds of Kerala polytechnic counselling 2020 will be conducted and an additional spot round will also be conducted if there will be any vacant seats left even after conducting three rounds. The second round of the counselling process of Kerala Polytechnic 2020 will be conducted tentatively in the last week of June which will be followed by the third round, which will be held tentatively in the first week of July.
In order to allow students to know their probable chances of getting admission, the authorities will release trial allotment tentatively in the third week of June. This will help candidates to change or edit the preferable course and institute choices depending upon their chances of admission.
Once the Kerala polytechnic 2020 counselling & seat allotment is completed, the candidates will have to report to their allotted institutes to complete the admission formalities. If any candidate fails to report at the allotted institute on scheduled day, the seat allotted to him or her will be forfeited.
At the time of filling out the Kerala Polytechnic application form 2020, candidates will have to select courses and institutes according to their preferences. After seat allotment, if candidates are allotted first preferred seats then they will have to report at the allotted institute on scheduled date. Failing to do so will result in the forfeiture of the seat.
If the seat allotted to a candidate is not a first preferred seats but still he or she wants to keep it then a candidate will have to cancel the higher preferences and will also have to report at the allotted institute on the scheduled date.
However, if a candidate doesn’t wish to keep a lower preferred allotted seat then he or she will have to participate in the subsequent rounds to keep the chances of being allotted first preference seat. To do so, a candidate will have to report at polytechnic college and submit a higher option. Also, get a confirmation of a reporting.
