    How KEAM 2026 Marks vs Rank is Calculated

    The authority calculates KEAM 2026 marks and allots KEAM rank by giving 50:50 weightage of marks to both 10+2 marks and KEAM exam marks. Below is the step-by-step procedure on how KEAM marks and rank is calculated by the KEAM authority.

    • First, 10+2 marks of Maths, Physics, and Chemistry will be taken, and all 3 subjects will be given weightage in a 5:3:2 ratio out of a total of 300 marks.

    • The normalisation formula is used to obtain a score in each subject.

    • The normalisation formula used is students' marks / highest marks scored in that board for that subject multiplied by 100. The result is the normalised score.

    • The normalisation score of 10+2 is calculated out of 300, and the same is calculated for the KEAM entrance score out of 300.

    • The authority decides the KEAM engineering rank by adding both normalised scores out of 600.

    • If there is a tie, then the tie-breaking rules are followed.

    What are the tie-breaking rules to obtain KEAM 2026 Marks vs Rank out of 600?

    The authority follows the rules below in the case of tie-breaking between candidates with the same scores. After taking into consideration all the points below, the final KEAM merit list is allotted to the candidates.
