Following seat allotment, candidates must engage in seat acceptance. This process enables candidates to either accept their allotted seat or opt for a higher preference. The available seat acceptance options for candidates include:
Option 1: Accepted
This indicates that candidates who have agreed to the offer presented in any of the CSAP rounds can choose to either switch to a more preferred branch or, within the same allotted branch, transition to a lower fee category. Candidates marked as "ACCEPTED" are required to submit INR 1,00,000 as partial tuition fees to exercise the sliding option. This payment must be completed by the specified date; otherwise, the admission offer will be void, and the candidate will not be eligible for subsequent CSAP rounds.
There are three options for sliding:
Candidates who have been allocated their 4th Academic Preference have the flexibility to slide to any of their higher Academic Preferences, regardless of the fee slab.
If a candidate has been allocated the 4th Academic Preference with the 4th fee slab but wishes to retain the same Academic Preference with a lower fee slab, they can make this request.
In the case of a candidate assigned the 4th Academic Preference with the 2nd fee slab, they can explore higher Academic Preferences only if the potential higher Academic Preference offers a fee slab that is equal to or lower than their current allotment. If a higher Academic Preference with a lower fee slab is unavailable, the system will attempt to assign a lower fee slab within the current Academic Preference.
Option 2: Confirmed
The confirmation of a seat marks the conclusive phase in CSAP for all candidates. Even though their seat is assured, candidates are still required to meet the eligibility criteria. In the CSAP process, candidates' status transitions from "ACCEPTED" to "CONFIRMED." Once confirmed, they will proceed to settle the remaining tuition fees and are exempt from participating in subsequent CSAP rounds.
Option 3: Waiting List
In this scenario, candidates do not receive an allocation from their submitted Academic Preferences. In such cases, candidates are not required to make any fee payments until they are offered admission in any one of the CSAP rounds. For those candidates who do not receive at least one of their Academic Preferences by the conclusion of the final seat allotment round, the registration fee paid will be refunded. These candidates are allowed to modify the Academic Preferences initially submitted during the registration process.
Allotment | Activities |
First | Accepted and Confirmed candidates in this round must submit a partial tuition fee of Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only) by the specified date. The remaining tuition fees should be paid as per the stipulated deadline; otherwise, the allotted offer will be forfeited. These candidates will not be involved in any further CSAP processes. This includes candidates who have received their first Academic Preference and are in the first fee slab. Accepted candidates who have opted for sliding should also pay Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only) before the last date to participate in the next round of CSAP. Waitlisted candidates are automatically considered for the subsequent round of CSAP. |
Second | Candidates who have been Accepted and Confirmed in this round must submit a partial tuition fee of Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only) by the specified last date. The remaining tuition fees must also be paid on or before the last date; failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the allotted offer. This applies to candidates who have received their first Academic Preference in the first fee slab during the second allotment. Accepted candidates who have opted for Sliding must pay Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only) to participate in the next round of seat allotment. Waitlisted candidates are automatically considered for the subsequent round. |
Third | No additional sliding will be allowed in this round. Candidates who have been Accepted and Confirmed in this round must make a partial tuition fee payment of Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only) and settle the remaining fees by the date specified on the website. This applies to candidates who are content with the allotment they receive in this round. |
Refunds during AEEE counselling will be processed following the submission of essential documents, including the fee receipt, Provisional Seat Allotment Order (received via email), and a no-dues certificate. The refund amount will be transferred to the bank account specified in the withdrawal request. Refunds will only be initiated after the final allotment and per the refund policy available on the AEEE website. All refund procedures will be conducted online as per the mentioned guidelines.

Hello,
You can appear for the AEEE exam while studying in the Tamil Nadu State Board. The State Board syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics generally covers most of the topics required for AEEE. You do not need to switch to CBSE, but you may need to refer to additional reference books or practice previous year AEEE papers to cover any small gaps. Many State Board students prepare successfully using State Board textbooks along with coaching material or standard reference books for better preparation.
Hope this helps you.
