Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of Punjab Polytechnic 2020 before registering for the admission process. No candidate will be eligible for final seat allotment if he/she does not fulfill the minimum Punjab Polytechnic admission 2020 eligibility criteria. There is no age limit for the admission process.
There are two categories - 85% of the total seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to the state of Punjab (state quota seats), while remaining 15% is open to all candidates under All India category.
So, candidates applying for 85% of the seats must be a permanent resident of Punjab.
Other than this, under Punjab state quota seats, Candidates who have passed 10+2 exam (non-Medical) can apply for admission to 3-year diploma course offered by Punjab Aircraft maintenance Engineering College, Patiala.
Candidates must have passed Class 10th (SSLC) or equivalent exam with Math, Science and English.
The authorities will release the application form of Punjab Polytechnic 2020 tentatively in the second week of May. Candidates will be able to apply in online mode for the admission process. Registrations will first start before the first round of counselling and will again be active before the third round of counselling of Punjab Polytechnic admission 2020. Candidates will have to visit the official website and click on “New Registration”. The given steps have to be followed:
Step 1: Filling of Application Form - In the first step, candidates will have to their enter personal, educational and communication details. All information should be valid in nature.
Step 2: Uploading of Documents - After filling the required details of Punjab Polytechnic application form 2020, candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature as per the specifications prescribed by the authorities.
Step 3: Payment of Fee- Once the candidates will upload their documents, they will have to pay the application fee for Punjab Polytechnic 2020. Candidates will be able to pay the fee in online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card).
After all the three steps are completed, the system will generate a seven-digit application number which will be used as login ID by the candidate for the entire process of Punjab Polytechnic counselling 2020.

Punjab Polytechnic admission 2020 merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in Class 10th or equivalent exam. The authorities will also release the category-wise merit list of Punjab Polytechnic 2020 along with the general merit list. Based on the merit list, candidates will be invited to participate in the counselling process of Punjab Polytechnic admission 2020.
The counselling of Punjab Polytechnic 2020 will conducted in online mode and will commence tentatively in the second week of June. Three rounds of Punjab Polytechnic counselling 2020 will be conducted by the authorities. Punjab Polytechnic Round 1 Counselling & Seat Allotment Process
Step 1: Choice Locking - All the candidates who will register successfully for Punjab Polytechnic 2020 counselling before the last date will be eligible for the choice locking process. During the choice locking process, candidates will have to select a combination of institute and course in the order of their preference.
Step 2: Seat Allotment - After the choice-locking of round 1 is over, the authorities will announce the result of seat allotment. The seat allotment will be done on the basis of merit list and choices locked by the candidates. Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment results through the official website by entering their application number and password. Candidates will have to take a print out of the seat allotment letter.
Step 3: Payment of Admission Fee & Reporting at the Allotted Institute - After the declaration of seat allotment result, candidates will have to pay the admission fee in the form of e-challan and will have to report to the allotted institute along with a print out of the seat allotment letter. Document verification will also be done at the institute.

If a candidate wishes for upgradation of his/her seat, he/she will have to again participate in the choice locking process of the second counselling round of Punjab Polytechnic admission 2020 as per the schedule specified by the authorities. It should be noted that if a candidate is allotted a seat in the second round, his/her seat in the first round will be automatically cancelled and his/her seat will be upgraded according to the second round.
After the first two rounds of Punjab Polytechnic 2020 counselling is completed, the authorities will conduct a third round of counselling to fill the seats vacant, if any. Fresh registration has to be done in order to participate in the third round of counselling. The registration process will be followed by choice locking, seat allotment, payment of fees and reporting at the institute as in the previous round of counselling.
