A change in the date of the entrance test will affect the way students manage their time for both board exams and entrance test preparations.
The following is the way students can prepare themselves:
Complete the MHT CET syllabus before the start of board exams: Try to complete the main topics based on the MHT CET Exam pattern before the board exams start.
Preparation for board and MHT CET simultaneously: Learn the main topics of physics, chemistry, and maths that are in the board syllabus and try solving entrance questions.
Revise: Keep revising formulae, key concepts, reactions, and figures.
Take up MHT CET mock tests: Take up some mock test papers in order to increase speed and accuracy.
Don’t wait for final dates: Keep preparing as per your present plan until the final schedule comes out.
Proper preparation for MHT CET 2027 needs to have an equilibrium between concept understanding, practice, and revision. The preparation must be divided into various stages rather than cramming all at once.
Complete those chapters which are difficult for you or which are required as the basics of the other topics. Make a list of chapters of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths according to your selected group.
Do not avoid any subject to give attention to some other subject. Try to complete all the subjects along with revision of already studied topics.
Make sure that you know the revised syllabus of MHT CET. Make a list of chapters and complete them, in progress or requiring revision.
You can clear the concepts through the books of Class 11 and Class 12. Do not waste time on those topics which are not in the prescribed syllabus.
It is important to solve previous years’ question papers to be aware of the pattern of the examination, the types of questions asked, and the level of difficulty of the exam. This should be done by solving them under timed conditions.
Maintain a separate notebook for the mistakes committed, formulas, and topics requiring practice.
Students need to attempt the questions within a stipulated period of time in MHT CET. Try solving questions in small timed intervals and increase the quantity of questions with time.
Do not attempt answering questions just for the sake of completing the number of questions by guessing. Accuracy is more important than speed initially.
Keep one day per week for revision purposes. Try revising all the topics covered in a week and attempt a small test.
Revision on a weekly basis will help you retain concepts and formulas.

Students can use the following study plan based on their board exam date, completion of syllabus, and preparation status.
Preparation Stages | What to do |
Stage 1: Syllabus completion | Learn concepts, cover all chapters, and answer basic questions. |
Stage 2: Practice | Answer chapter-wise MCQs and previous year questions. |
Stage 3: Board exam preparation | Revise textbook concepts and practise board-style questions while maintaining entrance exam practice. |
Stage 4: Entrance exam revision | Relearn formulae, important chapters, and weak concepts. |
Stage 5: Mock tests | Practise full mock tests and learn from mistakes. |
Stage 6: Final revision | Cover short notes and important concepts; do not start new concepts. |
Preparation for board examinations and the MHT CET may be a difficult task, but maintaining a proper schedule can help simplify things. Because many topics are common to both exams, students can utilise their board exam preparation for building entrance examination fundamentals.
Understand the concepts in the textbook thoroughly before attempting complex MCQs.
Work on board and entrance level questions from the same chapter.
Dedicate separate hours for preparation for board exams and MHT CET.
Revision of tough concepts should be done over the weekend.
Never sacrifice your sleep or take unplanned study sessions.

The following simple practices, if done daily, will help students prepare better.
Set daily goals: Set which chapters and questions you would like to complete before beginning the study session.
Take short notes: Note down formulae, reactions, definitions, and errors.
Take MCQs frequently: Practice questions once you finish a chapter.
Analyse mock tests: Know the reason behind wrong answers and revise the topic again.
Pay attention to weak topics: Allocate extra time to those chapters which you find difficult.
Do not stock many books: refer to fewer and good books for revision.
Be consistent: Studying and revising daily is much better than preparing at the last moment.

Yes, students can adapt their MHT CET preparation strategy depending on the reported change in the schedule, but they shouldn’t change the whole plan that they were following so far. What they need to do is complete syllabus and revision but still leave some time for the board examination.
For students who haven’t completed the syllabus, they must pay attention to studying the key concepts and solving problems. For students who have already completed the syllabus, they must give priority to the mock tests, revision, and mistakes rectification.
The last exam date of MHT CET 2027 must be officially confirmed before that through the notification.
