As per the previous year data, fourteen premier engineering colleges in the country together averaged a placement rate of about 76 per cent for their BTech in Mechanical Engineering graduates who registered for placement in 2020-21. All 14 are among the top 25 public technical institutions in the country, as ranked by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2021). IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur and NIT Surathkal did not share the total enrolled students data in the RTIs and so these institutes were removed from the analysis for the graph below.
More than half of the colleges have a better placement percentage in the mechanical branch as compared to the overall average placement percentage of the colleges.
In 2020-21, the best placement rate for Mechanical Engineering was at NIT Surathkal Karnataka (NITK) which beat even the top IITs. Equally surprisingly, was the fact that Jadavpur University, a state university in West Bengal stood second.

Hello,
No, your mistake in selecting "Haryana" instead of "Delhi" as the state of 12th-passing during JEE Main form filling will not affect your eligibility for the Delhi quota in JAC (Joint Admission Counselling). Here’s why:
Eligibility for Delhi Quota: The Delhi quota is determined by your school’s location (where you passed your 12th), not what is mentioned in the JEE Main form. If your school is in Delhi, you remain eligible.
Document Verification: During JAC counselling, documents like your 12th mark sheet and school address will be verified. These will confirm your Delhi eligibility.
JEE Data Correction: Even if the correction window didn’t allow the change, it won’t impact your JAC counselling since NTA (JEE Main authority) does not share this detail for quota determination.
Action Needed: Ensure all documents reflect your Delhi schooling. If doubts persist, contact JAC or JEE Main authorities for clarification.
Hope it helps !
if you want you can attempt JEE mains up to 6 time over the period of 3 years this means if you want to attempt you can attempt then in 2025, you can attempt it again and 2026 and then 2027 . These attempts in this increases the number of times of opportunity for students improve their chances of admission in a good engineering university as you can get a good score in them.
