I am Harshit Lakhchoura . I will pass class XII in 2021 and I will not give JEE main 2021 then I will drop one year for preparation then can I give JEE main 2022 ?
Yes , you will be eligible for JEE main 2022.
This is because,
One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th board examination .
if you appear for your 12th board examination in 2021 you will be eligible for JEE main 2021, JEE main 2022 and also for JEE main 2023
If I tell you about number of attempts you have then,
JEE Main entrance examination will be conducted 4 times a year i.e
* March session
* May session
Out of these four attempts , the best score obtained by you is considered for admission process
So, the maximum number of attempts for jee mains entrance examination
= 4 times *3 years
= 12 attempts in total
So, one has a total of 12 attempts over 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th board examination.
So if you pass your 12th board examination in 2021 then you will be eligible for all the 4 sessions of JEE mains 2021, all the 4 sessions of JEE mains 2022 and all the 4 sessions of JEE mains 2023
So, you have a total of
4 x 3 = 12 attempts
But if you don't appear in 2021 JEE mains then you will be eligible for only JEE main 2022 and jee main 2023,that means you will have only 8 attempts left.

what would be my rank if I got 120 marks in jee advance 2021and which college i would get
As far as jee advanced is concerned every year the total marks changes and accordingly the ranks. So, nobody can predict your jee advanced rank until and unless the total marks is known.
Still if i consider 360 marks as a barrier then if you score 120 marks out of it you should be able to grab around 8-9k rank but kindly note these are only my predictions and these will vary definitely.
So, i would recommend you to not to think about your rank and be focussed to give your best shot at the exam.
what will be my rank if I got 120 marks in jee advance 2021and which college i would get
If you are a general candidate then with 120 marks in jee advanced 2021, rhe chances of getting rank under 10000 is negligible or no chance. Because for general category students you have to score minimum of 130 marks ( as per the latest trend ). And also every year the total marks changes and this the cutoff also changes.
So, for getting a college and via jee advanced your score must be around 200 or 210 to get a good college like iit and with scoring about 210 marks it will be good enough to get you a rank under 2000.
So, with 120 marks you cannot get ant iit college.
how many exams we can attend in jee main
By number of exams, I guess you mean the number of attempts! JEE Main 2021 will be conducted four times that is on February, March, April and May. So you can attend the exam 4 times in a year. You can attempt the exam for 3 consecutive years from the year of you passing 12th Board Exam!
Hope this is helpful!
All the best!
