CSAB UT 2018 - Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has released the seat allotment result of CSAB UT 2018 on August 7. Candidates who have been allotted institute will have to report to the institute till August 10. This round is conducted for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs through one of it’s channels – CSAB Union Territories (UT) 2018. The registration and choice filling was started from August 4 to 6 in online mode. These admissions will be made for those candidates who have valid JEE Main 2018 scores but could not get seats through JoSAA counselling process. The admissions through CSAB UT 2018 is only for candidates belonging to Union Territories (Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep & Kandvi, Andaman & Nicobar, Dadar and Nagar Haveli), since, these admissions are simultaneously through other channels too. There will be supernumerary quota for candidates having state eligibility for CSAB UT 2018. The allotment of seats through CSAB UT 2018 will be done on the basis of JEE Main merit of candidates and preference of seats made. CSAB UT Eligibility Criteria 2018
Candidates fulfilling the following parameters of CSAB UT 2018 eligibility criteria will be considered for admission:
Candidates having their state code of eligibility as per business rules of JoSAA 2018 or as notified for UTs/ as per their class XII certificate/ mark sheet
Candidates who could not get a seat till Special Vacant Seat Filling round. OR
Candidates who did not report against a seat allotment in earlier JoSAA rounds. OR
Candidates who reported for the allotted seat at the reporting centre but seat was cancelled due to change in category and are still unallotted. OR
Candidates who reported against allotted seat to reporting centre but withdrew the allotted seat till sixth round of JoSAA.
Candidates who paid initial fee (Rs 35,000 for candidates from GEN, OBC-NCL categories and Rs. 15,000 for candidates belonging to categories SC, ST, GEN- PwD, OBC NCL PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD) and reported against seat allotment of JoSAA 2018 but did not report to the allotted Institute till the last specified date.
However, there are certain parameters on the basis of which candidates will not be considered eligible for CSAB UT 2018:
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in JoSAA round and they finally reported to the participating institute.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Special Vacant Seat Filling Round, irrespective of whether they have reported to the participating institute or not.
It is important for candidates to note that under CSAB UT 2018, they will get seats in some of the NITs only. The NITs corresponding to the union territories with the number of respective seats has been provided in the table below for candidates reference.

CSAB UT Counselling 2018
The qualified candidates of JEE Main 2018 will be provided admission through counselling of CSAB UT 2018. Candidates had to first register for the counselling session and then proceed further with the choice filling process. Candidates’ preference along with their ranks secured isconsidered during seat allocation of CSAB UT 2018.

Registration - The application form of CSAB UT 2018 will be available from the first week of August tentatively. Candidates will be required to register by filling the application form with the details required and submit it on or before the end prescribed date.
Choice Filling - During seat allotment, candidates will be required to fill the choices for all engineering courses available.
Seat Allotment - The allotment of seats will be done only for the remaining seats, after deducting the seats filled in normal course of allotment in home state quota from the total supernumerary seats for that UT. All the seat allotments will be made on the basis of merit based on CRL Rank only.
Reporting at the institute allotted - Candidates can directly report to the allotted institute, get the documents verified, pay fee and take admission, after the seat is allotted. It is to be noted that rules regarding category, PwD, Age, State of Eligibility, Qualifications, Original documents, restrictions etc. are the same as those specified in business Rules of JoSAA-2018
Fee payment at the institute allotted
Candidates will be required to pay the fee at the allotted institute:
In case, they have deposited the initial fee (Rs 35,000 for GEN, OBC-NCL candidates and Rs. 15,000 for SC, ST, GEN-PwD, OBC NCL PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD candidates). They will have to pay the balance fee (deducting the initial fee) at the time of reporting to the allotted institute, if any
In case, they have not deposited the initial fee, they will have to pay the whole institute fee at the time of reporting to the allotted institute, if any.
In case, new notification for hike in fees in NITs, if any, is applicable.
