Dear Sir / Ma'am,
MSCERT is the official academic authority under the Maharashtra government. It develops school curricula , textbooks , and digital content , trains teachers, conducts educational research , and ensures quality in school education . MSCERT also implements key programs like RTE and CCE and partners with national bodies to promote innovation and better learning outcomes across the state .

Hello Aspirant,

With an AEEE rank of 26,000 under home-state quota, your chances for Mechanical Engineering at Amrita Coimbatore are quite low. Here's why:

According to 2025 cutoff trends, the home-state (Tamil Nadu) cutoff for Mechanical at Coimbatore lies between 50–65 percentile, while a rank around 26,000 corresponds to just ~31 percentile.

That said, there have been anecdotal cases (mostly at other campuses like Amritapuri or Bengaluru) where students with similar ranks have secured admission under non-scholarship/home-state slots, usually in lower-demand streams like Chemical Engineering.

You got 1241 rank in AEEE exam. This is a very good rank, around 97 to 98 percentile. You want to take admission in CSE Cybersecurity branch at Amrita University, Amritapuri campus, under Slab 1 (lowest fees).

At Amritapuri campus, the CSE Cybersecurity branch usually closes between 88 to 97 percentile. Since your rank is within this range, you have a strong chance to get admission in this branch.

Slab 1 is given to top rankers. Students with ranks below 1500 often get Slab 1 or Slab 2. So, with 1241 rank, you are likely to get Slab 1 in the second or third round of counselling.

Make sure your 12th standard marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths are more than 85%. That is the minimum eligibility to join.

You should also register and take part in the CSAP counselling process, where you can choose your preferred campus and branch.

Hello student,

The amount of scholarships for Scheduled Caste (SC) students in India varies depending on the specific scheme, the student's educational level, and whether they are a day scholar or hosteller.

Generally, these scholarships cover a range of expenses, including maintenance allowance, tuition fees, and other allowances.

  • State Government SC Scholarship (Class 1 to 10):
  1. Class 1 to 5: 250 per year (for girls only)
  2. Class 6 to 8: 200 per year (for boys) and 600 per year (for girls)
  3. Class 9 to 10: 600 per year (for boys) and 1,200 per year (for girls)
  • Post-Matric Scholarship for SC students:
  1. Monthly maintenance allowances can range from 230 to 1,200, depending on the course group.
  2. For example, Group 1 courses (degree and postgraduate professional courses) offer 1,35,000 yearly for hostellers and 7,000 yearly for day scholars, according to a myScheme page.
  3. Other professional courses (Group 2) offer 9,500 yearly for hostellers and 6,500 yearly for day scholars, according to a myScheme page.
  4. Graduate and postgraduate courses not covered in Group 1 or 2 (Group 3) offer 6,000 yearly for hostellers and 3,000 yearly for day scholars, according to a myScheme page.
  5. Post-matriculation (post-class X level) non-degree courses (Group 4) offer 4,000 yearly for hostellers and 2,500 yearly for day scholars, according to a myScheme page.
  • Other Scholarships:
  1. National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies: This scheme provides scholarships of 15,000 per month for 10 months a year to meritorious students from economically weaker sections pursuing postgraduate studies.
  2. Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for SC Students: This fellowship provides 32,000 per month for JRF and 36,000 per month for SRF for M.Phil and PhD students.

And many more....

To get specific details about scholarship amounts and eligibility for a particular scheme, it's best to consult the official websites of the relevant government departments or scholarship portals.

Thank you!!

With AEEE rank 18,300, you likely won’t get Coimbatore, but you have good chances in:

Bengaluru

Chennai

Amritapuri

Amaravati

Possible branches: ECE, ME, ELC, CCE

CSE may be tough at top campuses.

Register for counselling and prefer the above campuses.

With a rank of 45,999 in AEEE 2025, your son is unlikely to get ECE (Electronics & Communication Engineering) at the Chennai campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham through regular counselling.

With an AEEE rank of 8,300, it’s unlikely you’ll get a scholarship at Amrita University since scholarships are usually for ranks under 5,000. However, you can still get admission without a scholarship, especially if your board marks are good (above 85%).

You might have better chances at campuses like Amritapuri or Bengaluru. Consider participating in the official counseling (CSAP) through the Amrita website.
