Sastra B.Tech Admission 2019 – Sastra Deemed University has started the application process for B.Tech admission 2019. Sastra University B.Tech application form 2019 is available in both offline and online mode. Students can fill the application form of Sastra B.Tech admission 2019 last by June 14, 2019. Sastra University B.Tech admission 2019 will be made on the basis of the two streams where in stream 1 consideration will be on the basis of JEE Main marks along with the 10+2 marks while in stream 2 only 10+2 or equivalent marks will be considered. Candidates applying for Sastra B.Tech admission 2019 are advised to go through the eligibility criteria to ensure that they are eligible to apply. The eligibility criteria of Sastra B.Tech admission 2019 based on the various parameters is given below:
Candidate should have passed 10+2 or qualifying examination with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and any of the following as the third subject: Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology from any recognized board accepted by the deemed University
Candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology in 10+2 or equivalent examination in one sitting.
The candidate should not be more than 19 years as on July 1, 2019.
Candidates applying for stream 1 should have appeared in JEE Main 2019
Sastra Deemed University will offer admission in 2019 under the following two streams:
Through stream 1:
Admissions to 70% of the seats will be made through stream 1 on the basis of JEE Main scores and normalized scores of the 10+2 or equivalent exam.
The 25% weightage will be given to JEE Main scores and the remaining 75% will be given to marks scored in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
The combined scores will be used to prepare the rank list and candidates will be invited for admission on the basis of the rank list.
Through stream 2:
The remaining 30% of the seats will be filled through stream 2
Only 10+2 (or equivalent) normalized scores will be considered while preparing the rank list of stream 2.
Candidates can apply through both the streams. In case, a candidate has not appeared for JEE Main 2019 exam and has applied for stream 1, the weighted score for the 25% will be considered 0 but the qualifying exam aggregate scores will be given 75% weightage to arrive at the combined score. However, in case of stream 2, the qualifying exam scores will be given 100% weightage.
Application form of Sastra B.Tech admission 2019 has been released on April 14 in both online and offline mode. Candidates applying in offline mode for Sastra B.Tech admission can download, fill and submit the application form last by June 14. Candidates can obtain the offline application form from the office of admissions at Sastra Deemed University campus in Thanjavur or Kumbakonam or at registered office in Chennai or from the selected branches of City Union Bank by making a payment of Rs 600. Candidates must note that application form has to be submitted along with the application fee in the form of DD drawn in favour of Sastra payable at Thanjavur. The form can also be downloaded and submitted online.
Candidates can go through the steps to fill the application form of Sastra B.Tech 2019 given below:

Step 2 – Login
The candidates will have to login using the login ID and password which will be received by them after the successful registration. The personal details along with the academic details have to be entered which includes:
10+2 exam scores
School passed out from
JEE Main 2019 score
Step 3 –Fee Payment
Candidates will have to pay a prescribed amount of fee in order to move a step further. The payment can be made through net banking, debit or credit card.
Step 4 – Uploading of documents
The relevant documents have to be uploaded which includes the recent passport size colour photograph and signature in the specified format.
Step 5 – Submission of application form
The final step is to submit the completely filled application form of Sastra B.Tech admission 2019. Candidates have to check all the entered details and then click on the “Submit” button. Candidates are advised to take a print out of the submitted application form for the future reference.
The rank list of Sastra B.Tech admission 2019 will be released separately for stream 1 and 2. The rank list of stream 1 will be based on JEE Main scores and 10+2 scores while for the stream 2 it will be prepared completely on the basis of the scores of 10+2 or equivalent examination. Candidates will have to enter the application number or Date of birth to check the Sastra B.Tech 2019 rank list. Candidates will be called in for Sastra B.Tech counselling on the basis of the rank list.
In case of any discrepancies in marks or other critical data, candidates will be able to raise the objection within 48 hours. For this, candidates will have to send the details by e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line of e-mail- 'Application Error’
On the basis of the rank secured by the candidates in the rank list they will be called for the Sastra B.Tech 2019 counselling which will be held separately for stream 1 and stream 2. Candidates attending the counselling for stream 1 will be allotted seats on the basis of JEE Main and 10+2 scores combined. Whereas, the counselling for stream 2 will be conducted on the basis of 10+2 scores of the candidates. The subsequeent rounds of counselling will depend on the seats which will remain vacant.
