Karnataka CET (KCET) Counselling 2017 - KEA is conducting a Casual round of counselling and seat allotment for for Karnataka CET 2017 from august 5 to August 10. Option entry has begun from August 5, while it will close at 6 pm on August 7. Karnataka CET seat allotment result 2017 for Casual Round will be declared on August 8. After the seat allotment result is announced, the qualifying candidates have to pay the fee and download the admission order from August 9 to 10, 2017. The result for the second extended round of Karnataka CET 2017 has been announced. Karnataka Examinations Authority announced the result of KCET 2017 seat allotment round II on July 17. KCET 2017 first round of seat allotment was declared on June 25. The seat allotment process is being conducted in online mode. The entrance examination of Karnataka CET 2017 was conducted on May 2 and May 3, 2017. Only the registered applicants will be able to participate in the admission session. The application process was available from January 27 to February 27, 2017.
What's New in KCET Counselling 2017?
Data of all 2nd PUC Students have been obtained from PUE department of Karnataka and displayed while applying online with the help of the student number. Candidates were also given the chance to edit the details if needed
Supernumerary Quota of 5% of the seats in each college and in each course will be reserved over and above the seat matrix issued by the Government for students whose annual income of the family from all the sources is less than Rs.6.00 Lakhs. The tuition fee prescribed by the Government in that particular college will be waived off. Candidates have to pay the other fees only. Except for the B.Arch courses, it is available for all courses and for all candidates including General Merit

Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 Counselling Procedure
The entire counselling process of Karnataka CET 2017 as per the schedule has been given above. The applicants will have to complete their document verification, thereafter registration, option entry and finally seat allotment to get admission into the participating institutes under Karnataka CET 2017. The following procedure can be followed by the applicants who are selected for the KCET counselling session.
Step 1 –Registration & Verification of Documents
The applicants had to report to their closest Helpline Centre for document verification.as per the schedule given above

Only upon verification of documents and issue of verification slip, candidates can participate in option entry.
After verification, candidates were issued a verification slip and they were required to verify the printed data on the verification slip
All candidates who completed their verification were given a unique user ID and Password
Documents to be submitted
The applicants had to bring the original documents along with one set of photocopies. After verification, the original documents were returned to the applicants while the photocopies were retained by the admission committee. In addition to the documents mentioned above, candidates also had to carry the following documents
2 Recent Passport Size Photographs
Study Certificate Counter signed by the Concerned BEO/DDPI

To fill and lock their choice of colleges and courses, candidates will have login by entering CET number.
The category wise, course wise and college wise seat matrix will be uploaded on the website.
Candidates must select their preferred colleges and courses as per their eligibility in the order of their preference.
There is no limit to the number of options being entered.
The options entered by the candidate for the first round will remain same for all the rounds of seat allotment.
Candidates will not be allowed to edit or change their options after final submission.
The priority of options entered by the candidate will be shown on the option entry module by obtaining the candidate credentials.
The candidate may delete or alter the order of higher options only prior to the final submission during first round.
Candidates will be allowed to add new options for any colleges and course that are added anew in the seat matrix after the first round.
Step 3 - Seat Allotment of Karnataka CET 2017
KEA will allot the seats online only in the order of merit and based on the priority of options entered by the candidates.
Since the list of the allotted applicants will be published in online mode, candidates have to log in and download their admission/seat allotment letter.
The selected applicants will have to take a print out of the admission letter and report at their allotted institute.
Payment of fees has to be done after which the admission of the applicants will be confirmed.
The seat allotment list of the first round has been released.
Only those applicants who manage to meet the cutoff of Karnataka CET 2017 will be allowed to participate in the counselling session. If the applicants fail to register and get themselves verified then they will not be allotted any seats.

The complete admission process from verification of documents to last date of reporting to colleges along with admission order and original documents is July 28, 2017 to August 4, 2017 (before 5:30 p.m).
