The KCET 2026 counselling will be conducted based on the rank achieved by the candidate. Those who achieve more than or equal to the KCET cutoff will have a chance to secure admission during thesession.

How To Calculate KCET Rank With Board Marks 2026?

The Karnataka Examination Authority will decide the KCET rank of the candidate with a simple formula. To calculate the KCET rank, a candidate must know their PCM marks from the board exams and the KCET exam. Here is the step-by-step procedure on how to calculate the KCET rank with board marks.

    • First, know your physics, chemistry, and mathematics marks scored in the board exam.

    • Add all three PCM subjects' scores and divide them by the total PCM score of 300.

    • The result you get after the PCM score must be divided by 300, and the result is your board exam score to calculate the KCET rank.

    • Now, divide your KCET PCM by the KCET total score of 180. Then the result you get is the KCET score to calculate the KCET rank.

    • To get your final score, calculate the average score of the Board Score and the KCET score.

The final average score of your board score and KCET score will be used to calculate the KCET rank by the KET authority based on the cutoffs and distribution of candidates.

    Hello Dear Student,
With a KCET rank of 1,18,344, you can secure engineering seats in branches like Civil, Mechanical, or specialized courses (e.g., Silk Technology) at government colleges, or core/IT branches in emerging private institutions. For example, colleges like Akash Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bangalore (CSE) and UVCE, Bangalore

    Hello Dear Student,
With an Agriculture Practical rank of 6,925 in KCET, your chances of securing a B.Sc. Agriculture seat are moderate to good for regional, newer, or private colleges, though top-tier main campuses like GKVK Bengaluru or UAS Dharwad may be difficult.

    Hey there,

With a KCET rank of 35,867 and 95.5% in PCMC, getting CSE in top Bengaluru colleges like RV College of Engineering (RVCE), BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE), or Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT)through the general KCET quota is unlikely, as their CSE cutoffs usually close at much lower

    Hello Dear Student,

At a rank of 204,880, securing a seat for CSE or AIML through General Merit in top-tier colleges is highly unlikely. However, as a Muslim candidate, you can target specific Muslim Minority institutions and supernumerary quotas in KEA counseling.
