Majority of the question were concept based. General Aptitude (GA) And Maths is Very Easy. Core Subject Questions were 50% easy, 30% medium and 20% tough. | |||

In the entrance exam, more weightage was given to Mathematics, Signals & Systems, Control System and Digital Circuits. Though questions from Engineering Mathematics, Digital Circuits, and Electronic Device Circuits were found to be slightly, still the rest of the paper was moderate to easy. As per the analysis done by The Gate Academy, it was highlighted that 80% of the problems were similar to or based on the problems asked in GATE 2016. Not only this, few of the questions in Mechanical were exactly the same as they were asked in GATE 2016. The same case was with Mathematics. However, the overall paper was easy. So candidates who are preparing for GATE 2018 must practice lot of sample papers, last year test series and mock test so that they have strong preparation base.
