QnA related to JEE Main

Ask your question related to JEE Main

See considering that your daughter receives 120 in JEE 2025, as per our prediction and estimation she will get a percentile which is 90+, now usually for reserved categories The cutoff is about 80+ in NIT, so there's a high chance she can pick one of her choice.

Best NIT for Mechanical Engineering are NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut, and MNNIT Allahabad, in which NIT Trichy is regarded as one the best.

With a JEE rank of 700,000 in the OBC category, it is highly unlikely that you will secure a seat in any good college, including NITs or other centrally funded technical institutes, as this rank falls significantly outside the usual admission range for most decent engineering colleges; you might have to explore options in private colleges or state-level government colleges depending on your state's quota and available seats.

Considering you have received 208 marks in JEE main session 1 held on 22 Jan 2025, your percentile is expected and predicted to be about 99+, however please note that this is a prediction and your actual result may be different.

Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely you'll get into IUST with a 40 percentile in JEE Main. IUST, like most good engineering schools, has a much higher cutoff. Admission is competitive, and they have limited seats. Don't lose hope though! Look into other colleges with lower requirements, or consider different paths. If IUST is your dream, focus on improving your score for the next JEE Main.

Hello,

No, you won't face any major problem during admission. However, there are a few things to keep in mind:

JEE Mains Eligibility: Since you are giving your Class 12th board exams in 2025, you are eligible for JEE Mains 2025, even if you had marked yourself as a dropper earlier.

Correction in JoSAA Counselling: During JoSAA/CSAB counselling, you will need to upload your Class 12th marksheet. If there's any discrepancy in the details you provided in JEE Mains, you can correct it at that time.

Considering that your marks are 50-60 in JEE Mains 2025 for shift 1 held on 23 January 2025 your percentile will be above 75, as per our prediction and estimation, however your actual result may be different.

No, clearing the JEE Main cutoff does not guarantee admission to IISc Bangalore. IISc primarily admits students through the JEE Advanced examination for its undergraduate programs. While they do consider JEE Main scores for some programs, the primary selection process relies on JEE Advanced ranks. After clearing JEE Advanced, you'll need to participate in the Joint Admission Counselling (JoSAA) process. IISc will have its own cutoff ranks for admission, and you'll need to secure a rank within that range to be considered. IISc might conduct an interview or an aptitude test for shortlisted candidates to assess their research aptitude and interest in basic sciences. This is in addition to the JEE Advanced scores.

Therefore, clearing JEE Main doesn't guarantee IISc admission. IISc primarily uses JEE Advanced scores. After JoSAA counseling, shortlisted candidates might face an interview/aptitude test to assess their research potential.

With 170 marks in JEE Main 2025 (29 Jan Shift 2) under the general category, your expected percentile could range between 96-98. However, the exact percentile depends on factors like exam difficulty and overall student performance. Check the official NTA percentile calculator for accurate predictions.
