Hello,

If you've missed the GUJCET form and haven't prepared extensively for JEE, you can still consider several private engineering colleges in Gujarat that offer B.Tech admissions . Some institutions may provide direct admissions based on your 12th-grade performance, especially if fees are not a concern.

Here are some options:

  • Nirma University, Ahmedabad
  • Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar
  • Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar
  • Ganpat University, Mehsana
  • A. D. Patel Institute of Technology (ADIT), Anand

Hope it helps !

Hello there,

Your son has a strong 95.2% percentile in JEE Mains, which gives him a good chance for CS in decent colleges through COMEDK and Manipal. Here's a clear plan:

  1. Current Applications:

    • Manipal: Good chance for CS at Manipal or Jaipur campus.
    • VIT Vellore: High chance of getting CS in the second or third category.
    • COMEDK: Likely to secure CS in top colleges like RV, BMS, or MSRIT with that percentile.

    • BITS: If he's comfortable with ECE in Goa, that's a strong backup option since BITS has good placement in both CS and ECE.

  2. Additional Applications: No need to apply to more private universities unless you want extra backup.

  3. Symbiosis vs Kalinga:

    • Symbiosis: Better for management and business fields, not as strong in engineering.

    • Kalinga (KIIT): Better for engineering with strong infrastructure and placement in CS and IT fields.

Recommendation: KIIT is a better choice for engineering.

Overall, the current options (Manipal, VIT, COMEDK, BITS) are sufficient for CS. KIIT could be a backup, but Symbiosis is less suitable for CS.

Hello Bhumika,

No, you cannot attempt JEE Advanced in 2027 if you fail to clear it in 2026.

You are only allowed to attempt JEE Advanced twice in two consecutive years after completing your 12th. If you appear for JEE Mains in 2026 and qualify but don’t clear JEE Advanced, you will need to reappear for JEE Mains in 2027 to qualify for JEE Advanced. However, 2027 will be your last attempt for JEE Advanced since the eligibility is limited to two consecutive years after 12th.

Hello there,

With 92.6 percentile in JEE Main under the OBC category and Madhya Pradesh as your home state, your estimated rank is around 66,000 . At SGSITS Indore , you have a good chance of getting branches like Electronics and Instrumentation , Electrical , Mechanical , Civil , Industrial & Production , and Biomedical Engineering . Admission to Computer Engineering and IT might be difficult due to higher cutoffs. Cutoffs can vary yearly based on competition and seat availability.

Hello Anushka,

Yes, if you crack JEE Mains and JEE Advanced with a good rank, you may get fee reductions or financial benefits based on your rank and category. Here's how it works:

  1. Government Colleges (like IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs):

    • If you belong to the SC/ST/PwD category, you are eligible for a significant fee waiver or reduction.

    • Students with an annual family income of less than Rs. 1 lakh may get a full tuition fee waiver .

    • Students with an annual family income between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh may get a two-thirds tuition fee waiver .

  2. Scholarships:

    • Many IITs and NITs offer merit-based scholarships for top-ranking students.

    • State and central government scholarships are available for economically weaker students.

  3. Private Colleges:

    • Some top private colleges (like BITS, VIT, SRM, etc.) offer fee discounts or scholarships for students with high JEE ranks.

With an 81.3 percentile in JEE Main as an SC category female candidate, securing Aerospace Engineering at NIT Surathkal is unlikely, as past SC category cutoffs for engineering branches were within a rank of 6,000. Your estimated rank is significantly higher, reducing admission chances. However, cutoffs fluctuate, so participating in JoSAA counseling, exploring other NITs, or considering alternative institutions is advisable. If feasible, reappearing for JEE Main to improve your score could enhance your chances in the next admission cycle.
