Hello!

Ideally, GPAT preparation should start around 8–10 months before the exam to give yourself enough time to cover the syllabus and revise properly. Since GPAT is a competitive exam, consistency is the key. You can start with 2–3 hours of study daily in the initial months and then increase it to 6–8 hours as the exam approaches. Break your schedule into three phases: Phase 1 (first 4 months) – cover the entire syllabus subject by subject, focusing on concepts and notes; Phase 2 (next 3 months) – revise topics and start solving previous year papers; Phase 3 (final 2 months) – focus on mock tests, time management, and weaker areas. Always reserve the last few weeks for pure revision and formula memorization. Remember, regular revision and practice are more important than long study hours without focus.

Wishing you all the best for your GPAT journey. Thank you!

Hi!

As per current JEE Mains eligibility rules, a student can appear in the exam in the year of passing Class 12 and the next two years. If you passed Plus Two in 2021, your direct eligibility window for JEE Mains has already passed. Even if you reattempt Class 12 in 2026, it is generally considered as an improvement attempt, and NTA counts your first attempt year for eligibility purposes. However, rules can change in future, so keep checking the official JEE Mains brochure for 2026–2027. Since you’re already pursuing B.Sc., you can also consider other state-level engineering entrance exams or lateral entry schemes for B.Tech after graduation. These options will help you continue toward your goal without depending only on JEE. It’s good you’re planning ahead, so keep exploring all possible pathways.

Best wishes for your studies!

To prepare for SSC CGL after B.Sc, start with NCERT basics and standard books like R.S. Aggarwal for Quant & Reasoning and Neetu Singh for English. Use online platforms for structured courses and mock tests.

Regularly practice previous year papers and focus on current affairs from Lucent GK and monthly PDFs. Consistent practice with mock tests and daily revision is key to success.

Hi,

With a rank of 5.3 lakh in JEE Mains, getting a mechanical seat in PMEC Berhampur through normal OJEE counselling is very difficult, especially if you're an out-of-state candidate. OJEE mostly reserves seats for Odisha state students in the earlier rounds, and only a few institutional spot rounds might consider others.

However, if the college has vacant seats in September’s spot/institutional round, and they allow direct admission based on vacant quota, there’s a chance you could be considered. The issue is many Odisha colleges do not allow out-of-state students unless stated clearly by OJEE.

For more information you can check this link:

https://www.careers360.com/exams/ojee

You can also consider other private colleges in nearby states that may accept your score.

Thank you!

Hello!

So based on your rank 5000 in JEE Mains and you are from Punjab you have some chances of getting NITJ  branches like mechanical civil, chemical or biotechnology but in the later rounds as SC category seats also closed early.

As  your SC rank is around 5000 your CRL can be anywhere between 1,20,000 to 1,60,000, depending on your marks.

Hello Simon

With 262 marks and 78 percentile in JEE Mains, you have a good chance of getting Electrical Engineering branch at Government Engineering College (GHEC) Bilaspur through state counselling.

Looking on previous year cutoffs and trends, yes you will get it.

Thank You!!!

Hello,

With a score of 262 in HPCET and a 78 percentile in JEE Mains, your marks are quite good especially for state colleges in Himachal Pradesh like GHEC Bilaspur. Admission into Computer Science or core branches should be within reach, provided you apply under the state quota.Generally, HPCET cutoffs for general candidates in GHEC Bilaspur hover around 180–250 for most branches. So, with 262, you're in a good position. The 78 percentile in JEE Mains might not get you into NIT Hamirpur, but it's still helpful for counselling preferences.

If you wans to know more information about this college can you check this link:

Thank you!
