TNEA 2025- DoTE will commence the online TNEA registration 2025 in the month of May. Students can apply for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2025 at tneaonline.org. A registration fee of Rs 500 will be charged for TNEA 2025 application. Students applying for TNEA 2025 should make sure they meet the eligibility criteria set by the authority. Read the points below to get an idea for TNEA eligibility criteria-
Age Limit- There is no age limit, but marine engineering applicants must be under 25.
General Eligibility-
Candidates who have completed their education from classes 8 to 12 in Tamil Nadu are not required to provide any evidence of their nativity.
Candidates who have completed their education from classes 8 to 12 in states other than Tamil Nadu are required to provide a nativity certificate.
If the parents of a candidate are Central Government Employees and have been serving in Tamil Nadu for the last five years, then their children are required to provide their parents’ employment certificates.
Candidates whose parents are employed under All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are required to submit proof of their parents' employment.
Any Srilankan Tamil Refugee applicant must provide an identification certificate from their headquarters.
Qualification Eligibility-
The applicants must have completed class 12/HSC from a recognized board.
The subjects of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry are essential for TNEA 2025.
Candidates are required to score at least 45% (General), 40% (Backward class including backward class Muslims, MBC & DNC, and SC/SCA/ST).
For Marine engineering, the applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in PCM and 50% in English in their class 12 examination.
The TNEA application form will soon be made available on the official website. Before completing the form, applicants will need to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for the TNEA exam. Once eligibility is confirmed, candidates can proceed with TNEA 2025 registration. The TNEA rank list 2025 will be released on the official website, tneaonline.org. It will be prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying exam, and candidates will be able to check their position of merit by logging in with their email ID and password. The authorities will use a normalization method to prepare the TNEA rank list. Candidates appearing on the merit list will be eligible for TNEA counselling 2025. In case of a tie, the authorities will prepare inter se merit based on a set of rules that will include giving preference to candidates with higher percentage marks in certain subjects, and older candidates.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) will notify the TNEA 2025 counselling dates at tneaonline.org. The counselling process will be conducted round-wise. Students will be able to participate in the TNEA counselling process online. The list of TNEA counselling colleges will also be made available on its official website. The eligible candidates have to pay a prescribed fee to appear for TNEA counselling 2025.
