Ask your question related to TS EAMCET

TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test) is one of the most prominent entrance exams for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering, agriculture, and medical fields in Telangana. Colleges that accept TS EAMCET scores can be very good, depending on the institution and the specific course.

Some of the best colleges in Telangana that accept TS EAMCET scores include:

  • Osmania University College of Engineering (OUCE) , Hyderabad
  • Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) , Hyderabad
  • CBIT (Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology) , Hyderabad
  • VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology , Hyderabad
  • MGIT (Maturi Gajanan Institute of Technology) , Hyderabad These colleges offer excellent infrastructure, experienced faculty, good industry connections, and strong placement records, making them a good option for engineering students.

No mate..!!Admission is not possible through PSEAMCET. NITs admit student based on JEE Main rank only and then students have to appear for JoSAA Counseling.

If your caste lies under OBC but the TS EAMCET application is only showing BCA, BCB, BCC, BCD, and BCE categories, you should select the category that corresponds to your specific OBC caste.

In Telangana, OBC castes are classified into several sub-categories, denoted by the letters BCA, BCB, BCC, BCD, and BCE. You'll need to identify which of these sub-categories your caste falls under.

To determine the correct category, refer to the official list of OBC castes in Telangana, which can be found on the TS EAMCET website or the Telangana government's website. Match your caste with the corresponding sub-category, and select that option in the application form.

If you're still unsure, you can:

- Contact the TS EAMCET helpline or support team for guidance.

- Visit the nearest TS EAMCET help center or counseling center for assistance.

- Consult with a local authority or a person familiar with the OBC caste classification in Telangana.

Hello

Eligibility for TS EAMCET :

Since you are from Odisha but your parents have a residence certificate in Andhra Pradesh , you may not qualify as a local candidate for Telangana state colleges under TS EAMCET . However, you can still appear for TS EAMCET as a non-local candidate.

Minimum Qualification Requirement : Most engineering colleges require a minimum of 45% marks in 12th (for the general category) and 40% (for reserved categories). Since you scored 50% you meet the minimum requirement.

Getting a Good Rank : Your rank in TS EAMCET depends on your performance in the exam. A good score can help you get into some private engineering colleges in Hyderabad but government colleges have a high cutoff for non-local candidates.

Alternative Options you can also consider applying through the management quota in private colleges if you don’t qualify for government seats.

Hope this gives you the clarity you need.

For EAMCET preparation, the State Board curriculum is generally considered more advantageous compared to the CBSE curriculum because it provides a more structured and challenging syllabus, better aligning with the competitive nature of entrance exams like EAMCET, it has extra topics which is useful in eamcet emphasizing conceptual understanding rather than rote learning, and offering wider recognition across different states and institutions.
